A new study by Retrevo shows that - surprise, surprise - consumers are looking for a cheaper tablet, and would seriously consider buying an Amazon tablet over other manufacturers...

Makes sense book ereader is why i got a nook. Though i also run cyangen, my main usage is still reading books. With a little internet... like making this comment.
This also seems to put weight on the notion about paid content and not wanting to rebuy.
At a certain point customers will almost have to stay with one os or another just due to the investment they have in apps books etc. Though thankfully the expensive books are available on all os,es right now. Arent they???
As i have said earlier most customers are idiots and dont realize the content is avalable on other systems besides findle... in this example at least

Tablets are way too overpriced. For a gods sake they cost almost as a good smartphone.
Usefulness/productivity? No thanx, I'll use a laptop for that.
Portabillity/convenience? No thanx, I'll get a good smartphone for that and more.
Fashion/in trend accessory? Well, absolutely.

the thing is, tablets are toys. they're not as functional as laptops. and 400/500 is A LOT to spend on a toy for most people.
