What's this? An apple fan and an Android agreeing? What a wonderful thing this democracy is. Bringing together even the most bitter of rivals.

well... like dealing with taco has taught us..
reading it and having the reading comprehension to understand it are 2 different things. Or maybe he just doesnt care enough to follow it. I realize your a lib, and thats fine.. but whatever your views, what he pulled today was completely unconstitutional and will blow up in his face. He doesn't have the constitutional authority to do what he did today.

Bet money on it.

Between this and his other speaking issues lately like saying the private sector is "doing just fine" and we need to "figure out how to help the government not the private sector", he is pretty much handing the election to Romney. And the polls reflect it.

Thats not a partisan view, thats just calling the game as its happening.

"What he pulled" today seems to be fair...stop deporting kids to countries they know nothing about until the Dream Act is voted on. Was it unconstitutional when John McCain helped write the bill, or just when president Obama backed it? And what do you think about the jerk that interrupted the president's speech? Wasn't that very disrespectful and unprofessional?

What I think he did today was win a whole lot of latino votes, not all but a lot. It was a very political move I think, because of the timing, but it was the right thing to do none the less. Can you imagine a 22 year old guy fighting in Iraq, loosing a limb, coming back to what he thought was his home only to be told he's being deported because his parent entered the country illegally when he was just days old? Shouldn't someone like that be allowed a chance to stay in the country he loves and fought for, or are we taking a zero tolerance stand on this too?

1) Mccain is a dumb ass and a rhino republican. dont like the guy

2) when "mccain tried it", he tried it the legal way.. u know, trying to get it passed as a law.. and it failed.. big time. many democrats didnt even vote for it.

3) whether you think its "fair" or the "right thing to do" is not the issue. Its ILLEGAL. The president does not have the authority to proclaim a new law/policy of such nature. The president's job is to sign or not sign bills that are first ratified by the congress and senate, not to unilaterally decide policy and put it into law. Thats what dictators do.

4) the constitution is there to protect us. When you allow politicians to ignore the constitution so completely like what just happened, it will only hurt you in the long run. Again, its not about right or left, good or bad.. its about protecting american citizen's rights from the severe abuses by the government. The ONLY way to do that is to make sure they follow the constitution.

I have no desire to get into a "should have, shouldnt have" argument over the amnesty issue. My concern is with its constitutionality... and the president just wiped his aass with the constitution this afternoon with this move. Leting him or any other president pull such a maneuver isnt just a slippery slope, you might as well be throwing yourself and your rights off the slope.

It's sad I think deep down remix knows he doesn't know what he's talking about, but his defense mechanism is to blindly believe his predetermined ideas. He only cares to learn things that support his views.

Okay, you dont like McCain...we agree on something there. But he isn't passing a law, and he verbally acknowledged that he didn't have the power to do so. What he did was STOPPED deportation of productive people who can and would like to contribute to the success of this country. It passed through Congress, but the Senate is so scared of losing AGAIN, they just fold their arms and hold their breath like 2 year olds with every piece of legislation that comes to them. They're willing to make this country you love into another third world country, just to keep more money in rich people's pockets and Obama out of office. -SMH- I don't see how anyone can condone that from the "leaders" of our country, least of all vote for these clowns, but that is their right.

As for the constitution...its a guide! If we were to follow the constitution to the letter, I would still be considered 3/5 of a person. It wasn't meant to be written in stone, that's why there are amendments. Remember the Bill of Rights? Not everything the man does is a threat to the constitution or US citizens. He's doing what he feels is necessary and it's cool for you to disagree, that's your right.

What do you expect from a President that once said clearly that he wished to had the power to skip the Congress and change things immediately. He has a record of executive orders like no other President in the past. That surely is "change".

"McCain is a dumbass"

See statements like this make you look like the dumbass. McCain has accomplished more than you could ever dream of. Armchair quarterbacking and attacking and insulting people doesn't make you smart or right. It just makes your arguments look like garbage.

so, now that 3 million more people are going to be eligible for work in all sectors of the job market now that they are going to have work visas... how do u think that is going to affect actual americans trying to find a job.

where's the middle class at now? hmm. How does that help Bob thats been out of work for 2 years to get a job... its just going to RAISE unemployment.

you need to stop with the propaganda and look around. Obama only talks to rich people. He only hangs with rich people.. hes worth nearly 10 million dollars now.. he has no clue about you nor does he care.
BTW, the constitution is more than a guide.. its the law of the land. its not to be ignored at convenience. there is a ratification clause to get rid of things like 3/5ths vote.. and its gone. that has nothing to do with amnesty.
the bill didnt pass because it didnt pass. the american people overwhelmingly disprove of amnesty.
no where does the president have the power to unilaterally enact his own law. he's turning us in to a 3rd world country. What do you think is going to happen. we are already at 16-20% true unemployment, and he wants to add 800k-3 million + new workers to the job market that are OK with making less no matter what their skill level. Now that they are legal workers they can work in EVERY job field. What do you think thats going to do to wages for the rest of us?? How do u think thats going to affect the job market??
He's purposely HURTING the lower and middle class while extending his arms and saying he's helping it. The more desperate you are the more lock step with whatever he says you will be. Point blank truth.

btw, if you would look at fact instead of propaganda.. look at the left and look at the right. There are far more millionaires and billionaires on the left than there are on the right. Yet they are the ones that try to convince you that they care about you.. the little guy. Neither side cares about you. they only care about consolodating their base of power. Didnt you ever wonder why more super rich people say they are democrat? Whats in it for THEM? If they were really anything like they claim to be, then they would be giving you all their money. Yet they only find ways to keep more of it while sticking you with the bill. How did they get to be billionaires? It wasnt by HELPING the little guy get a leg up.

This illegal and unconstitutional move was a desperation attempt for obama to get some additional support from the hispanic community at a cost to all american citizens. Again, hes hurting US to help HIM. There is no benefit what so ever to you or I or any other american citizen. And since Obama put a nice timetable on when his illegal initiative is going to start, that gives plenty of families plenty of time to jump the border and claim they were here since 2007. Their illegal. They have no paperwork to prove one way or another. So.. what.. we take everyone at their word? And when he gives the teens immunity, what do u think he's going to do with the families? deport them? No.. he's just going to conveniently ignore their existence. Amnesty. Illegal, unconstitutional, amnesty.
All at the expense of American citizens during one of the worst economic times in 100 years. Why? To try to get reelected. He is losing his base, he is losing women, he is losing the swing voters. He is hoping this move shores up the hispanic vote to make up for some of the other losses.

Again, this is not about left or right.. this is whats going on... and it affects all of us.
