The Apple CEO responded to an e-mail by saying that there is no reception problem with the Apple iPhone 4 and told the recipient to "Stay Tuned"...

This is why I hate apple. He is too egosticial to even admit that his precious iphone could ever have a problem. Oh why the need for a software update if there's no issues? You're right steve, we are lying, making it all up! Those iphone users who are having these issues are really android users!
2. ilia1986 posted on 28 Jun 2010, 01:56 0 0
Yes this is indeed a difficult period for Apple. Because I already addressed the reception issue in several other threads, I won't be doing this here as well to all the haters who will inevitable come in a few minutes. Let us see however, how Steve will come out of all this. The "Stay tuned" part looks promising.

Difficult? They just sold a ridiculous amount of inventory... Deny the reception, fix it with a software update if possible, if not, keep denying it... I think they are sitting well... only a few people are gonna really return their phone... most are content with their little iPhone Aplle Product.

all i can say is... DON'T THROW OUT YOUR IPHONE 3GS YET... hahahha the 3gs might worth more than the iphone4 at the moment!
5. DonkeyPunched posted on 28 Jun 2010, 05:34 0 0
I think they had a video in their last article with the 3GS losing reception by the "death grip" What I'm not sure about is how these emails are really legitimate...Apple must get thousands of emails like this. Why do they always seem to reply to this same email address...Idk. I'm not saying there isn't a problem, but also that there might not be a problem. This site just isn't really a great site to come to for legitimate facts.

I don't know what people are talking about, I don't have any problems with my iphone 4.. by the way LETS GO SPAIN......
6. DonkeyPunched posted on 28 Jun 2010, 05:35 0 0
Well thats good! Maybe you should make a youtube video and post it to this site so people can see that. That would bring up more evidence, ya know?
7. ilia1986 posted on 28 Jun 2010, 05:48 0 0
Hmm I am curious, DonkeyPunched.. Do you believe that the amount of people who bought the iPhone 4 and have the reception problem is larger than the number of people who bought it - and don't have any reception problem at all?

Honestly, This product is like anything else...when you mass produce things then some of the products aren't going to be at the highest and best quality...LOOK at toyota, they thought they were untouchable....this is just a fact of life...the screen discoloration is mainly because of the glue didn't completely dry...and after some use..it went away...YOU HAVE TO REMEMBER THAT APPLE IS IN THE MAIN LIGHT RIGHT NOW AND ANYTHING THEY TOUCH IS HOT...AND WHEN YOU ON TOP OF THE MOUNTAIN THEN THERE ARE BOUND TO BE HATERS..haters...

apple was in the main light in 2007 and 2008. now, android is the new hot product.

hahaha ya coming from another douche apple fanboy, ANDROID all the way, I would take a Droid X any day over an iphone, especially because of a much better network!

yea all u verizon fans always agree with each other cus u cant use an iphone on ur carrier lol
20. gambino37 posted on 28 Jun 2010, 12:22 0 0
DIRECTLY @gmtrenz. Are you like 7? What in the hell does the iPhone have to do with Verizon fans agreeing with each other. Ever though that we are probably right about what we point out? I would also like to point out that you said "cause we can't USE an iPhone with our carrier". From what I have been reading and seeing on the news you can't USE an iPhone on your network either. Especially the newest piece of overhyped crap that good ol Steve is shoving down your throats.

I'll tell you what, after playing with my phone, holding for a while with my left hand, and then setting it down, it DOES lose reception, then it comes back. It does not do this when I have my case on it. I have played with it for a long while, and its very consistent. Sad. The phone works great and gives me no problems when I have my case on it, which is always.

Iloveiphone- Screen discoloration? Reception issues? Already? This phone is barely out and there are already known issues with it? I wonder if you people honestly see the junk you're buying. Maybe not, since it appears that Mr. Jobs has done a fine job sucking out your brains in exchange for a shiny gadget. Awesome.

Steve Job is so arrogant. I don't like the his attitude. Maybe people would be less irritated if he just admits that iphone 4 has problems.
11. ilia1986 posted on 28 Jun 2010, 07:43 0 0
Apple will never admit that there is a flaw in any of their products. After watching several Apple ads on their site - I have come to the conclusion that Apple products offer you nothing less than the illusion of purity. Their minimalist extra-super styled design and their approach to "We make it, no-one else does, and what exists and isn't ours is junk". Sure, this very well suits the definition of arrogance, but it captures the hearts and minds of people. Take their keyboard for example. A regular BT wireless keyboard with flat keys. Standard model being even without arrow keys and numpad. Nothing special. But the way it's presented is that it's the ultimate keyboard that exists. Thus Apple and Steve refusing to admit that anything is wrong at all in their products is not so much as personal arrogance on their behalf - but one of their marketing strategies and core philosophies. Apple is all about causing the consumer to believe that what they make is perfection itself. They are all about style over substance. Not to say there is no substance - as there certainly is. People buy their products not only they are indeed quality products overall - but also because the company is very good at presenting them as perfect products. From their elegant logo, to their site to every little curve, detail and color, everything causes the consumer to believe that they are holding something unique and special.

ilia1986 - GASP! I am truly at a loss for words right not. For the first time in 4 days and about 300 posts, we are finally on the same page? WOW!
27. ilia1986 posted on 28 Jun 2010, 14:26 0 0
Well.. you will find that I never claimed otherwise. I merely analyzed apple's marketing strategy and core philosophy. I would like to emphasize once again that this is not all about style-with-no-substance. I still believe that both iPhone and Android platforms have their core advantages and disadvantages. And I still believe that both are awesome platforms. Now the question is - if you buy something not only because of it's functionality but because the company makes you feel that you also receive an added value from that in terms of an illusion that you just bought something perfect - can the latter be taken into account when judging the overall quality of the product. On the one hand - they sell you a delusional feeling. On that other hand - it does make you feel better as you feel somewhat special and unique. I think that this is a very interesting topic for discussion..

And the iphone 4 is still going to outsell Droid X by a wide margin.. And yes, I'm just talking about US iphone sales.
19. cammian posted on 28 Jun 2010, 11:45 0 0
Ya maybe because all of the current iphone owners are bored as hell with their current iphones, so now they all want to upgrade to the new one that really has not changed much other then the look to attract customer's Not many new customers though all the same current iphone owners that have not experienced a good android device yet.

Yes, the iPhone will outsell the Droid X. There are way more idiots than smart people out there.
28. ilia1986 posted on 28 Jun 2010, 14:53 0 0
Thats a nice excuse you got there. I guess you could use it to describe pretty much any successful sale rate of any product.

Steve Jobs borrowed so much of his iPhone 4 design from Bang & Olufsen...you think he would've asked the Danes for help on building a decent antenna! Seriously, the phone is absolutely gorgeous...I just wish I could use it to make a call now and then. Epic fail.

I would not hate apple as much as I do if they could even admit to the slightest problems with their devices. I understand they want you to think they are perfection and the best thing ever. But you would only truely believe that if you're a complete fool. Everyone knows nothing is perfect, nothing is flawless. No matter how beautiful it may seem, it has flaws. Apple need to realize they aren't selling some sacred treasure of god and apologize for these issues and fix them. Its not that the problems exist, its the simple fact that apple refuses to admit they do. I wouldn't hate apple nearly as much. As a one time iphone user and a ipod touch owner, I still love the products. I just hate the ones who make them. Yes ill be buying the droid x, not because "I can't have the iphone" because I am much more satisfied with android as far as phone service goes.

Lmao at all the apple haters. You read every apple article and then talk shit. If iPhone sucks so much why are you so worried about it? I don't see iPhone fans posting android sucks on android articles.

The egocentrical Apple is and will always remain a product for egocentrical individualists who want a toy to be a part of a "superior" group! They are not even near anythihing you could use for serious business! Starting with customer support.
