Hopefully the SoC will be the Snapdragon 600 (though I can imagine the WiFi version sporting the S4 Pro and the later released LTE variant having the SD600) and screen size will be a little closer to 8", the ideal tablet size.

I hope it is the Snapdragon 600. The higher clock speed really is needed for such a high resolution display, the Xperia Tablet Z has the same resolution and definitely has some lag with the S4 Pro. Though, Android 4.3 brings noticeable performance improvements from what I've read, and I'm sure most of the lag found on the Xperia Tablet Z is from Sony's custom UI, but the S600 would just bring some extra room for that high resolution to work on, you know?

The Droid DNA has no lag with a 1080 screen & the Snapdragon Pro. Considering the lack of a skin & the price tag, I think it is way more likely that this will use the Pro.

I guess Sony's skin is just a little too much for the S4 Pro to handle. The new Nexus 7 will probably fly with the S4 Pro running stock Android 4.3, but I guess I'm just being pessimistic. Even if it does stutter a little, the price tag certainly justifies it.

If he screen size is identical, based on the @poke4christ comparison with the two press images put next to each other, dimensions are 205 mm x 117 mm x 82 mm, slightly taller but much thinner profile. The press image shows a 16:10 screen, so it's definitely gonna be the cool 1920x1200 resolution.

I would definitely like to have the new Nexus 7. Though I would probably get a case for it since the sideways Nexus logo is just odd to me.

I don't belive you.
No, really, the Nexus 7 does not _need_ an 800. A 600/S4 Pro will run things perfectly well.

roldefol is right. They already upgraded the screen resolution, added a back cam, doubled the storage, & doubled the RAM for only $30 more than the original price tag of the original Nexus 7. No chance this device has a Snap 800. More than likely, it won't even have a Snap 600. They'll be losing money on every device if that's the case. My guess is Snap Pro or 400.
