Star Wars: Commander game gets new Rogue One update

Great news for Star Wars fans, as Disney recently announced a new update is available for Android and iOS users who are playing their smash hit, Star Wars: Commander. Launched on iOS more than two years ago, the game still has a sizeable pool of players, which is why developers continue to push content updates.

The new version of Star Wars: Commander brings content inspired by Rogue One: A Star Wars Story. But the improvements don't stop here, as Disney announced a handful of new gamplay features have been included as well.

For example, players will now be able to activate Equipment that enhances unit and structure combat stats. Of course, in order to do that, you will need to build an Armory.

Furthermore, Star Wars: Commander players can collect Data Fragments from Supply Crates to unlock and upgrade Equipment. Another new feature introduced is the ability to opt in to battle same faction squads in Squad Wars. Last but not least, many under the hood optimizations and improvements have been implemented in the latest release.

Keep in mind that in order to play Star Wars: Commander you will need a device powered by Android 4.0 and up, or an iPhone/iPad running iOS 7.1 or later. Even though the game is available for free, it comes with in-app purchases that cost real money. Also, advertising for some third parties, including the option to watch ads for rewards are part of the game too.
