Sprint's new marketing campaign aims at value and reliability
With summer just around the corner, Sprint is gearing up their new advertising campaign right now for the spring. The number three wireless company in the United States is focusing on value in its two new commercials. We’ve seen a lot of their CEO, Dan Hesse, in previous marketing ads expressing the value of their network. Instead, they will focus on the monetary savings one would get with their plans and the strength of their data network. Of course all of this is will all lead to the eventual release of the highly anticipated Palm Pre. There is no doubt that Sprint’s rate plans are highly competitive and can save you money over comparable plans found on other carriers. Additionally, the other marketing campaign will tout Sprint’s leap into the 4G foray, the reliability of their 3G network, and the exclusive carrier for the Pre. Sprint is springing up for the competition and building up some momentum just in time for the summer.

Good job Sprint, hope this works out for them as they do have a fast reliable network with great coverage.

They have a lot of work to do. They are still loosing customers left and right and money obviously... They need to change and focus on why all these customer's had a bad taste in there mouth from Sprint. There image has not been shed is part of the problem... and they are trying to move on like it has been (Which it hasn't). Once they do that.... Then they can move on how Sprint has X, X and X advantages.

i saw one the other day. i had to rewind it because at first i thought it was someone who just wanted to burn thier cash and a buy a 30 second spot. it seemed like a joke. once i realized it was a sprint commercial i had to watch it again. it my make more ppl leave the carrier then join. btw im a sprint customer 7yrs. now i just saw the one with the pre and its 10 times better actaully really clever mentioning they're 4g and everything else they do. but the guy blowing money around is just stupid.

iv been with sprint for two years now and i love them they do have a problem with setting the expectation.the told me they got man. approval to exchange my 700p for A 800w all i had to do was make a payment on my account. the girl said she fully notated because i know how important it is/ i made a payment i called back and they had no notes that stated man. app. so i escalated they finally approved it for 50 dollars then two replacements later they said if i had problems with this phone i could exchange it for the htc touch pro i said that great put i really do like my palm..........bam still had software problems with the 800w so i called up and said yes the lady i spoke with said i could exchange it fot the htc touch pro , the guy literaly laughed at me and said no .....so i escalated, i got it approved because i stated i would switch to verison which i was about to. if you set the expectation to what will happen "im sorry sir there is no way that we can exchange your phone for an 800W'' i would be fine with it but it was promised and they'd better keep there promises

um? what? this entire post makes absolutely no sense.

He is trying to say that with Sprint there come empty promises, and for those of us who have them I think we can certainly agree. They say they will do one thing and notate the account, and when it comes down to it, the notes read the opposite of what they promised, or they left no notes at all, I have to agree, this BS practice by Sprint needs to stop. Meanwhile, if they set the expectation by saying, "no it cant be done" in the first place, it would keep customers happier as it doesnt seem like a blatant lie.

reliability? try a little harder to be Verizon, not a bad move but definetly decietful

sprint actually has the fastest data network in independent tests, with vzw right behind. vzw definitely has the better voice coverage, with sprint in number 2... either way, cdma ftw...

13. lsutigers posted on 07 Apr 2009, 11:23

You know, this is usch a BS misconception, while VZW may have slightly better service than Sprint in certain areas, by no means does it BLOW AWAY Sprint service. I just happend to have Sprint and work for VZW where they provided us with a V750 and my service is equally as good with Sprint in 99% of places. VZW has marketed their network so well that people are brainwashed into thinking everything else is junk. I just read the most recent JD Power results for network quality and guess what? Sprint tied with VZW....so deceitful, I think not!

14. vzw fanman posted on 07 Apr 2009, 12:02

verizon blows sprint service out of the water and at&t is much better than sprint too. well in ny state and florida. plus the other east coast states

15. htsee posted on 07 Apr 2009, 12:21

where are you getting this information from? The most recent JD Power rankings have VZW, Sprint, Alltel, and US Cellular as the best voice coverage in the nation... Sure, in some areas, one carrier may not be as good, but to say that at&t is much better than sprint is just ludicrous... Plus, VZW is not that much ahead of Sprint in terms of voice coverage, and VZW is just behind in data coverage...

16. vzw fanman posted on 07 Apr 2009, 15:22

how about physical proof. me traveling with 4 of my buddies down to florida. on highways and backroads. 3 have verizon, 1 at&t, 1 sprint. vzw came out on top. then at&t.

Sweet independent test...

19. superawesomeguy posted on 07 Apr 2009, 23:30

thats directed to vzw man

20. lsutigers posted on 07 Apr 2009, 23:43

You are a clear example of the VZW brainwashing. Listen, I have no reason to lie, I work for the damn company but the truth is the truth, VZW is only very slightly ahead of Sprint and ATT in terms of voice coverage, data without a doubt goes to Sprint. No one is doubting VZW is great, but get a life, its not like everything else is junk.

You sound like this dummy on bgr who keeps bringing up gotreception.com as proof that Sprint has a crappy signal when JD Power and Gizmodo are saying completely different

7. att_agent posted on 07 Apr 2009, 06:42
