Sprint is soon expected to launch the Samsung IP-830w smartphone - the successor of the i730. The device has dual-mode support as it has both CDMA (800/1900 MHz) with EV-DO and GSM (900/1800 MHz) functionality. It runs on Intel 520 MHz processor and Windows Mobile 5.0 AKU 2.6 operating system, unlike Verizon's version which runs on Windows Mobile 2003SE. Major features of the IP-830w include a sliding QWERTY keyboard, 262k color 240x320 TFT display, SD I/O expansion slot, built-in speakerphone and Bluetooth support.

Very nice phone, highly moddable, worked great in England/UK and Austrailia. There can be java compatibility for this phone as well as a great bluetooth connection. I noted no drops in the headset in audio or transfers of files. Bluetooth GPS connection also works well without draining the battery too quickly, normal internet usage on a full charge on the stock battery will work about 1 1/2 to 2 hours tops without need of a recharge. all in all a very good phone, SD card however does have some registration issues and the notification que tends to get cluttered and causes slowdowns. so 7 out of 10 for this phone.
