phone arena failed to mention that according to the leaked information its a slim slim slim slim SLIM possibility that the old MOTOROLLA RENEGADE might GET a SOFTWARE UPDATE TO ANDROID 2.1 with MOTO BLUR!!!! ... or it might be a firmware patch for the photo album on the phone... just a thought. phone arena - 1

Its true. The Hero has one issue; Picturemail consistantly not downloading and opening. A Factory Reset only temporarily fixes it. With that, I just got word yesterday Andoid 2.1 is the fix for it and it is to be released in April. Hence, that was per a tech conference call with Sprint. We thought a simple patch update would take care of it, but its being inculuded with 2.1. The Renegade will only get a patch update to correct it. So again, it will be inculded with 2.1 which will be rolling out very soon. Were constantly getting over run with customers complaining to us Techs about the picmail issue, so yeah were looking forward to it.

there is another error as well. I dont receive update notifications when there is an update available fromt he market. With verizon's droid eris, it works, but not with the Hero.

All you have to do is open the market app and look at your downloads, and it will list which apps have an available update. Its not that difficult.
