Just released over the weekend, the Sprint version of the Samsung Galaxy S4 has already received an OTA update weighing in at 24MB and no changelist has been released making this a mysterious last second update that probably takes care of a little hiccup on the phone; as usual with these OTA updates, it will besent out in waves so if it doesn't come today, there is no need to panic as it will eventually arrive...

How can you speculate that the update has something to with LTE vs cellular usage, and then go on to say that it's not something to lose sleep over? That's... that's kinda important.

Yeah that's my thought too. However, I bought one on Sunday and the settings showed LTE enabled and the screen showed the 4G icon so I tend to think that the the original version supported LTE. That said, I was suprised at how bad the battery life was on the device (I shouldn't have been since reviews have mentioned that the Sprint battery life was worse than that on the AT&T version). I got less life than I did on my GS3 with the same use so hopefully the update will be doing something about the battery use.

Yes, but does that update unlock the bootloader? U.S. variants having a locked bootloader is an epic fail.

Its not update to turn on LTE, my phone is still on C and it can use LTE out of the box
