3G on Verizon and Sprint is just 'ok.' Hopefully, next year, both carriers get an LTE version of the phone. Heck, WiFi at home is faster than Verizon 3G.

" An iPhone 4S owner in Chicago, for example, reports that her smartphone does not reach speeds past the 500kbps mark, and the figure drops down to 200kbps in the evening. In comparison, when used in the same area, a Verizon iPhone 4S reportedly loads web pages in a fraction of the time it takes for a Sprint iPhone 4S to do the same job."
Why is she complaining? That sounds correct for Sprint.

Sprint has been making huge network upgrades across the country. My 3G speed has gotten much better within the last month. I am now averaging 1.3mbps. Check out
for the latest network enhancements by region.

It's not just iPhone, all of the 3G speed for all their smartphones are slow. I'm averaging 0.45mbps to 0.60mbps on my SGS II, that's a 0.20 increase, but wifi is still faster.

that would sound about right,
My VZW 3g service is faster than my Wife's, Sprint 4g service...
But in the same areawe are in Sprint has better voice Quality than my VZW.
Which i find a little odd...

I've had the HTC EVO 4G since day one, in the south Florida area, I have NEVER gotten as much as 500kbps download speed with Sprint 3G. Sprint 3G is just garbage, add to that the fact it drains your battery so much faster than 4G and WiFi combined, I just turn it off unless I have no other option and need internet.

I have the SGS2 Epic Touch now and its the same crap. Latest speed test showed me 147ms ping, 146kbps down and 118kbps up. Signal strength shows 4 bars.
