" iPhone users tend to chomp a good amount of data."

That's because they have no removable Micro-SD card and can't side load anything!

There goes the neighborhood. :(

So, the big question is, since the 4S is not a 4G phone, will Sprint still charge the $10 4G fee to iPhone owners?

I hope not, that would keep them on the 3G network and outside of my neighborhood!

the 10$ fee is not just for 4g, its a premium data fee for all smartphones so they will get charged

... sprints 4g network is already conjested with clearwire customers in your neighborhood!!

@NeXoS: I'm sorry to inform you that having the ability to side load & having a removable Micro-SD have no bearing whatsoever on data consumption... Micro-SD is a storage device... Sorry to bust your bubble... Lol... But since you're cute you get a pass... :-)

I'm so glad that Sprint got the iPhone. Their truly unlimited plan goes hand-in-hand with the iPhone. An unlimited plan is a must for any smartphone especially an iPhone.

Sprint is releasing that information Friday. There is suppose to be a special iphone charge.

There will be no "special" iPhone plans. they will remain the same. So in other words 69.99 or 89.99 with the 10 data fee.

Well I agree its a good deal I like iphone and android I don't hate on noone of them. As I had an evo 3D on sprint which I loved. But canceled it and got at&t a galaxy s2. Because I found sprint service to be not so good over here in the LA area. I noticed a lot of people always talked bad about at&t, this is my first time with them and I honestly had no problems with there service like dropped calls or slow internet I'm constantly getting 4-9 mbps then again i dont have an iphone. I like iphones and all but i would never get one cuz i like making calls,. I been all over los angeles even to the ghetto side of LA east LA and I always had 3-4 bars on at&t my galaxy s2. And now I finally have full bars on the 5th floor on my loft in downtown LA and I'm able to make calls, WERE with sprint I had no service. That's the reason I cancelled sprint cuz I had absolutely no service in the place I am the most my room.

You sure are incorrect. It is for all smartphones. It used to be for 4G phones only, they changed it in the spring I believe. Look it up.

Ok "lolwut" I work for Sprint and I can assure you that the 10 fee is for ALL smartphones EXCEPT the Samsung Replenish. I can also confirm they they will be charging the 10 fee for the iPhone as well. The Price plans will remain the same. So basically 69.99 or 89.99 plus the 10 data fee

Actually you are incorrect. It's a smartphone fee. The only time it's a 4g fee is on the discounted Sero plan. Blackberries aren't 4g and they have the fee as do the other smartphones without 4g.

Im glad sprint is keeping the unlimited data plans!! i hope the sprint iphones have very good antennas because sprint service is not to good inside, and whats good about unlimited planes if you cant use the service...

Sprint works just fine for me indoors. Coverage isn't perfect everywhere with any carrier. Maybe you heard people talking about Sprint's Wimax not working well indoors? This is true Wimax doesn't have much building penetration power Sprint is moving to LTE so that will change but all this 4g talk is unrelated to the Iphone.

yea i understand that every carrier has there blind spots but sprints current signal does tend to fluctuate indoors more then other carriers.... yea i use to work for Clear a while back and i know it also lacks building penetration , it was great when it first started though!! .. yea lte will be a great move from sprints part hopefully they can get it working by 2012,
yea 4g is irrelavant when talking about the iphone lol

Verizon said they were keeping unlimited data too when they got the iPhone and look at them now, a few months after they release the iPhone and BAM, data caps.

well technically Verizon did keep unlimited data...i have it on my iPhone. but you got those cheap skates griping about not wanting to pay for a data plan, now you got those same idiots griping about not offering unlimited data...

So being it has an upgraded radio, isnt that just for AT&T HSPA+, Verizon cant attain those speeds with EVDO, and Sprint uses MIMO, soooooo........?

Actually mine has improved in the past 2 months, and I've been hearing that from people lately. Which makes me believe that they are already starting the 3g upgrade. Maybe you'll be next.

Sure it's unlimited, but what's the point? It's an iphone on CDMA, which means slow as heck! MAYBE 3Mbps on a good clear day with no one around on your own tower, whereas the AT&T version is getting up to 14.4 Mbps! Sure they're capped, but at least the phone won't feel like it's on dial-up!

What they don't mention is that once Sprint decides to put a cap your data, they just do it. With only a small message on your bill. Unlike Verizon, for example, that keeps you grandfathered in. This has been evidenced by how Sprint went about adding on the 10 data premium charge to our bills, and how they just slapped caps on our hotspot data...

I still, to date, Sprint "unlimited" plan for an iPhone (or any other phone for that matter) is the best offer there is.
