Sprint releases firmware upgrade for BlackBerry Curve 8350i
The BlackBerry Storm isn't the only RIM device that is requiring firmware upgrades to fix some bugs. Sprint released a software upgrade on its web page to improve the function of the new push-to-talk BlackBerry Curve 8350i. Some of the issues that this download is designed to fix includes a problem where the screen goes blank and loses all information. Some users have been finding that their MMS messages have gone missing and some messages sent to 8350i owners were never received. Multiple songs and albums by the same artist, when added to the device, may not show up. When toggling back and forth on a call between speakerphone and handset, there is no visual indication which one you are using (of course, there should be an audio reminder which setting you have on and if you can't tell the difference, the problem is not with the phone!) If the device is reset, all unsaved contact messages could be lost from the Direct Connect mailbox. The software upgrade is expected to fix all of these problems and a few more, like issues with multiple IP addresses. Anyway, this is an officially released OS, version number 4.6.1.128 if you're counting. After you download it to your Curve 8350i, let us know if it takes care of the issues you have been having with this handset.
