Sprint officially announces the Motorola Titanium at $149.99 on-contract stating July 24
Already, we’ve received some good word regarding the upcoming ruggedized Motorola TITANIUM that’s headed for the Sprint network, but we’re just now finally getting an official confirmation from the pin dropping network directly.

Not surprisingly, the portrait QWERTY based handset sprinkled with its tough exterior shell will be coming to market starting on July 24th for the 2-year contract price of $149.99. Although it shares some design characteristics to the recent Motorola XPRT, it’s separated by the fact that it features Nextel Direct Connect and meets Military Specification 810G for things like dust, shock, vibration, low pressure, solar radiation, high temperatures, and low temperatures.

Interestingly enough, it’s the successor to the forgettable Motorola i1 that was released a while back with its outdated hardware and platform experience. Fortunately, the Motorola TITANIUM is now official and features some significant upgrade to get that sour taste left by the Motorola i1 out of our mouths.
