Sprint makes the tough Kyocera Torque official, "coming soon" with bone-conduction tech

Built to withstand 810G MilSpec and having IP67 certificate for being waterboarded in up to 3 feet, the Kyocera Torque has a 4" WVGA screen, a 1.2 GHz dual0core Qualcomm MSM8960processor with embedded LTE connectivity, 5 MP camera, NFC, 1 GB of RAM, 4 GB of storage accompanied by a microSD slot for expansion, and a large 2,500 mAh battery, but ships with Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich instead of the newer Jelly Bean... ..

That actually doesn't look too bad despite being a mid range. Hope the Xperia Z will come to Sprint.

Gotta be honest; I like the name. Torque is one of the few words related to cars and engines that could be used as a smartphone name, and given the decent yet respectable specs, I could imagine this phone being quite affordable on contract.
