Sprint isn't the only one getting the Hero - it's heading to Cellular South

Not everyone might recognize the privately held regional Cellular South, they're going to become the second domestic carrier to start offering the HTC Hero. That's especially surprising because they're going ahead with an Android handset well before Big Red and AT&T. With such a premier device making face for the pretty much unknown wireless carrier, subscribers will be happy to know they'll be getting the same handset that Sprint will be launching soon. With most of their stores located in the greater Tennessee and Mississippi area, it may be a little hard trying to track down one. No need to worry though because it'll be available for pre-order starting October 5 – probably trying to upstage Microsoft's Windows Mobile 6.5 launch the very next day. No word yet about exact pricing for this almost exact Sprint facsimile handset.

I'm glad to see PhoneArena post something about a local carrier. I made a comment about that roughly a week ago, and it's good to see that there are still websites who to an extent, will give consumers what they want to read about. Props to you!
