Sprint is reported to offer the Wi-Fi Motorola XOOM first with a WiMAX version later

Just when we were hoping to see a WiMAX driven Motorola XOOM in the very near future, we’re now hearing reports that Sprint will basically offer the Wi-Fi only version of the tablet first – then some time after that, we’ll see...

Let’s face it Android fans… Your ipad killer, the Xoom, failed and is now dead in the water.

BestBuy couldn’t sell them
Verizon couldn’t sell them
And now Sprint won’t be able to sell them.

I like Android and what it can possibly offer but it needs tweaking, a price reduction on its devices, and a better marketing plan. The only real Android device that can give IOS some competition is the Samsung Galaxy Tabs that aren’t even out yet!

In my eyes, the iPod/iPhone is the real iPad killer. I don't need such bulk and I certainly don't need that price. These are niche products and it just ain't my niche. I've got a netbook that works fine thanks.
