Like the way the phone looks but don't like moto. Plus after going to a super amoled, just can't ever go back to LCD. Might even do retina one day...

I ordered mine this morning....still hasn't shipped out yet, and they have no option for overnight shipping! 2-5 days they say...so I hope I see it by the 31st, but I doubt it.

If Sprint has it in stock now they usually ship same day & you can have it as early as this Friday. If not you can even get it Monday. Once you get it please post here again so I can check out your opinion on the device. I have to say the Motorola Photon 4G looks serious. I had an Epic 4G with the Super AMOLED screen & I am happy to say that the qHD Super LCD display on my HTC Evo 3D is insane. I know the blacks are sweeter on the Super AMOLED, but blacks on the qHD are pretty bad a$s on their own right, & the resolution is killer. The movie watching on my HTC Evo 3D is outright wonderful. The extra resolution makes a huge difference in gaming also. I thought that I would never buy a phone that is not a Super AMOLED display, but I am happy to say that I was pleasantly surprised with the quality of the qHD Super LCD on my HTC Evo 3D! The Photon 4G has a qHD also, let me know what think!

Ok, so I did get it on Friday, and I've had a bit of time to play around with it....and I love it! I am coming from a Nexus S, and the Photon, in my opinion, beats it hands down in almost every way. It's super fast...I have not had it lock up or even hesitate on me once, and I've thrown a lot of apps at it at simultaneously. Build quality is top-notch.
As for the screen...well I'm still undecided. It's great when the brightness is up. Very crisp, easier to read than the Nexus (it's bigger though, so that's probably why). When it's on auto brightness tho...it just seems very dim. It still looks great, but it just seems a little too dim most of the time. Turning it up manually solves it, but I wish auto brightness was better.
It's not as bright as the Super AMOLED on the Nexus, doesn't have that pop in colors, but it's still excellent. I actually prefer it because it's a glass screen (vs. the Nexus's plastic). I haven't gotten a chance to see an EVO 3D for comparison.
The battery life is incredible....best I have ever had on any smartphone.
-I can uninstall all of the pre-loaded apps!!!!
-The charging/USB cord is about a foot and a half long...SERIOUSLY Motorola??? My Nexus came with a 3 foot cord.
-You can't use the kickstand while it's plugged in....they should have definitely tried to find a way around that

UPDATE TO MY PREVIOUS POST: As of this morning (Friday) its still in the processing stage so I know I wont get it until Monday at the earliest since UPS and FedEx don't deliver on weekends unless you pay an extra fee. That kind of pisses me off because I could have went into the store Sunday and gotten it a day early that this "Premier" pre-order crap. I thought I would get it earlier if I could pre-order. I could have went thru Radio Shack or Wal-Mart and saved $20 for all this and still gotten it around the same time. Only reason I didn't is because I am porting in a number from AT&T for this line and I will get $125 port credit. I won't fall for that "Premier Pre-Order" crap again.

I take that back. I guess they just didn't update their web site to show that had shipped because it just got delivered by UPS. Sorry for doubting you Sprint. (LOL)

Seems strange .... the Photon was announced a couple months ago. But will beat the Bionic to market, when the Bionic was announced at the end of last year. (That right?) That dual-core/LTE combo must be war to get right. WiMaxx has some advantages.

You are somewhat correct yes. While these NON LTE "4G" phones can be available much sooner, in the end LTE speeds run circles around the rest.
