As many of you know Sprint is the only carrier which hasn't yet announced a superphone to match the Atrix-es and BIONICs of today, but this might soon change at what might turn out to be a magical evening tonight…

Uhhhhhh LG Optimus 3D was reported days ago to be heading to Vodaphone... PhoneArena do you not pay attention to what you report on already?!?

It's possible for a carrier to have a US exclusive. A good example is the iPhone. AT&T has been the "exclusive" carrier for years, however there's at least a dozen carriers outside the US that also carry the phone. So no, the Optimus 3D on Vodafone doesn't necessarily mean that a US carrier won't have exclusivity. On that note, did anyone actually claim that Sprint would have exclusivity? It would be entirely possible that Sprint could simply release the phone before other US carriers.
Still, I'm not sure it would be the Optimus 3D simply because no CDMA radio has been mentioned by anyone reporting its specs.

It's actually a 4D phone....I have talked with the aliens that made it and it also allows for teleportation.

These does sound interesting, but my only thoughts are that the Optimus 3D is reported to be GSM/ UMTS... Please correct me if I'm wrong, but doesn't Sprint use CDMA and wimax which are a completely different technology?

I think it is going to be a 3d phone but not the lg optimus 3d. Sprint has been pretty quiet on what it is revealing and the lg optimus 3d is not secret by any means. I believe it is going to be an HTC made 3d android phone. Its going to have a dual core processor and the ability to switch 3d on and off. if this is indeed the case I am preordering this phone. I've been waiting for Sprint to offer some new hardware, they cant rely on the evo. It's been out for 8 months...anyways, ill be on tonight at 6!!! :)

I find it highly unlikely that Sprint would spend the money on a press event to announce a sub-par phone. Just sayin'.

Well it looks like they are, because they have made a domain name for the Kyocera Echo.

www.sprint.com/echo
These search results show this is the industry first device
