Sprint developer site 'announces' the HTC Hero
After stopping by at the FCC's webpage, the HTC Hero has now made an appearance at Sprint’s developer portal, so we guess an upcoming launch on the carrier’s network is inevitable.
Well, the site does not provide info on when exactly the phone is going to come, but does mention that by the end of September, there will be an Android development section deployed there. We’ll keep you posted on the Sprint–Hero story once more details become available.

So, while Sprint is urging developers to start writing their apps for Android, we can spend a few minutes to check out these photos that showed up on the web. The sources claim the device is the CDMA version of the Hero. We do not know if these images are authentic or fake, but one thing is for sure – it looks rather different from the Hero we have seen.

The phone is not attractive. I mean, it is slightly because I like small touch screen phones.... but i was looking at the HTC Touch Pro2 and this and then this took my attention for the past few weeks but now im back on the touch pro 2 with verizon because this isn't pretty

what the hell. why did they change the design? i think this was a bad idea. seriously, the htc hero was so groundbreaking becuase of its skin over android, but also becuase of its heroic design.

The SDK download takes you directly to the Android Development Community. Not a Sprint-specific SDK download. Looks like development for the Sprint version will be fairly wide open.

i dont care about the design that much, my main concern is since they changed the design, hopefully they might put a flash for the camera... i like to take pics lol, my pre would be fine, but obviously no freakin video record!
