Sprint decides not to let the Pre out one day early?

Sprint has apparently put the kibosh on a plan that would have allowed some lucky people attending Pre release parties on Friday, to walk out with a newly purchased Pre, the day before the official release of the device. We told you about this a few days ago, and a recent BGR story "confirms" it.
As we reported earlier, there was talk that Sprint was going to allow those who pre-registered to buy the smartphone to purchase the phone during the events planned for stores in certain cities on Friday. Without the possibility of grabbing the Pre during the parties, the best you could hope for is some free grub and some liquid refreshment.

Ohh release this stupid phone already so we can stop seeing these release articals! It comes out on June 6th, we know, lets move on...please.
