The purple one is, the black one....not as much. But thanks for the well thought out and elegantly worded comment.

To each his/her own, but I think this phone should have been made a long time ago. The all black one is pretty good phone in my (male) opinion.

Add another to the list. I personally think the purple with its design and color choice is appealing.

Sprint Stink!!!! Verizon Wireless Rule!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

5. (unregistered) posted on 10 Sep 2008, 10:28

at locking down phones and putting the same ugly 6 year UI on all their non-smart phone. If you think that rules you need to get out more.

Your petty arguing is getting old. I really don't give a crap who you think is the better carrier. Isn't your recess over....time to go back to class little kids!!

Sorry...I come on here to read about phones and when I see posts like #4 I have to respond. From poster #5

It's obvious #4 is an AT&T troll trying to start a flame war between VZW and Sprint.

doesn't matter. it's the network. better reception. =P

Verizon UI Interface sucks a$$ reaLLY BAD, Seriously guys try changing up a little bit, you guys are way to old school lol, Sprint is reinventing phones, while Verizon just has crappy ones and high prices. Take that to the bank and smoke it

26. (unregistered) posted on 10 Sep 2008, 19:32

I admit, the VZW UI is pretty bland... and IN THE PAST their phones were suspect, but for the past few years VZW has stepped it up a lot. In regards to this board though... the Highnote resembles the Chocolate 2 (VZW now has the Chocolate 3 which is a noteworthy device); The Rant resembles the enV (VZW now has the enV2... both of which look better than the Rant)... and the Lotus reminds me of the u740 (Alias), but the Alias looks better. So yeah, these 3 new devices look and perform like devices VZW released a long time ago. VZW's UI might be boring, but the only noteworthy phone Sprint has that VZW doesn't is the Instinct.

And I failed to mention that instead of the Instinct, we have the Dare. I am not going to start a flame war and try and compare the two devices.

Its really funny how no one cares at the fact that Apple locks their stuff down too, where they really want you to buy only their products, thus "crippling" them as many of you would say, but yet when some carriers decide to do that their phones, in which they have purchased for a whole lot more than you actually would, (or for some of you) did- pay for... then maybe I'd start thinking be for commenting so quicky about paying a lot of $$$, for a "piece of crap" phone, not to mention the fact that, um.. yea, your not the one on the table making "revolutionary" phones for people. I mean common guys get a grip! Are you the same as the next person? I didn't think so, cause if you were, there would not be a comment post like this where people had differentiating opinions. Anyways, back to just getting out of bed. hehe..

I have the same feeling about the iphone. The main differnece being you can "jailbrake" and iphone and add 3rd party apps. The fact is as a consumer I purchase the device and should be able to do what ever I want with it and add what ever I want. When you buy a PC or laptop you can add anything you want to it. Why should phones be any different?
