Sprint and Nextel to merge Friday

Sprint and Nextel announced that they have already had all approvals for their merger, and they expect to complete the merge this Friday, Aug 12, 2005. In December, 2004 they first announced their plans for merger and now after they received and FCC approval for merger they will start selling their Sprint Nextel common stock under the ticker symbol “S.”
