Sprint and Motorola are having an exclusive event on June 9 in New York City
When it comes to Motorola’s relationship with Sprint, we haven’t truly seen anything magnificent in terms of high-caliber devices, though, we’ve seen our fill of push-to-talk enabled devices.

Well, we’re crossing our fingers more than ever since it looks like the two are hosting an exclusive event in the Big Apple on June 9th to showcase their “latest collaborations.” Knowing that both Sanjay Jha of Motorola and Sprint’s very own Dan Hesse will be on hand at the event, there is this notion that it’s something going to be big – even more when the two are having an actual event together. Naturally, the Motorola XOOM easily comes to mind, but more importantly, we’re curious to see whether or not we’ll  also be getting a glimpse of Sprint’s version of the Motorola ATRIX 4G.

Nevertheless, the next two weeks will surely prove to be interesting to say the least, but as always, we’ll be there to cover the event live as it’s happening. So mark your calendars now seeing that the festivities start at 12:30PM EST on June 9th.

Well, a really revolutionary announcement would be that all of Moto's CDMA handsets will be available on Sprint.... Although I doubt VZW would be thrilled at the announcement.

"Sprint and Motorola is having an exclusive event on June 9 in New York City" I love the title of this article. I think "is" very cool title! lol I think Motorola is upset that Verizon is shifting more towards Apple & Motorola wants to get the attention lost with Verizon through Sprint! Plus if they want to sell more phones, they may well be able to this through Sprint. Especially if the AT&T/T-Mobile merger actually happens. A lot of people will jump ship from the merger & go to Sprint! Also it helps that Sprint is CDMA, plus all those 3G Verizon droids they have will probably get 4G WiMAX and make them way faster than on Verizon’s 3G network!

No I want a HTC Evo 3D. I don't want a Motorola phone. It's good to have choices that's all! I want Motorola to do well. Most importantly I want Sprint to do well since they are the ONLY truly unlimited wireless carrier in the United States of America! Sprint will never throttle the data speeds or put a cap on the amount of data you can use. Plus they are also the cheapest. Where I live I have wonderful 4G service also.

well if it works for you then great but don't think this partnership is going to compare with what Moto has with Verizon without any sales figures yet and don't think just because one carrier is getting something nice RIGHT NOW that it's going to catapult them ahead of better carriers for a long time. it doesn't work that way. two words and an abbreviation for you guy, Droid. Bionic. LTE.

Droid Bionic LTE, if it ever comes out then good for you! It’s a summer release after the HTC Evo 3D which is going to be a hell of a phone. I hope you get the Bionic, I just hope Sprint doesn't get the same phone under a different name with WiMAX first. That would suck for you & Verizon. Since I have been on the Sprint 4G WiMAX I have still not had an outage yet. Verizon has a lot of kinks to iron out first. Verizon is also taking away the unlimited data plans too, so that sucks. I think you would agree. Motorola wants to sell more phones & naturally why not go to Sprint? My friend has a HTC Thunderbolt, & he beats me to a website by 3-5 seconds. LTE is only 3-5 seconds faster than WiMAX. I sleep very well knowing that & also I pay less. You can keep your 3-5 seconds, but when I get my HTC Evo 3D with its 1.2GHz dual core, I bet those 3-5 seconds will be made up because of the extra muscle. So again I am not worried of your two words and an abbreviation.

i had Sprint. they have TERRIBLE customer support. dealing with Verizon has been a breeze and i don't know what kind of coverage you have in your area but LTE is consistently MUCH faster than WiMAX especially here in FL where i'm BLANKETED with LTE coverage and it's more efficient on the spectrum even Sprint knows this and they intend to switch to LTE somewhere down the road and by the time that comes out Verizon's LTE network will have matured and Sprints will likely fail sometimes too and i really doubt Sprint will keep Unlimited data once everybody else goes tiered. you've got to be kidding me if you think they will..oh so you've heard somewhere what the specs for the Bionic are going to be? i'm not concerned about it stacking up to your EVO 3D, i have no doubt they will stack up pretty close and you can keep your stereoscopic screen, my eyes don't like them.

Just so you know Sprint is #1 in customer service in the U.S. Not in only in the mobile industry but in all industries. As per JD Power. Verizon was one of the worst in the U.S. this is fact. So your customer service knock is broken. LTE is the same where I live as where you live, me & my friend went to FL & saw the same results as I posted before, 3-5 second difference. As for Sprint's WiMAX failing, now you are speculating. It hasn't happened yet so that comment is wrong also. LTE is the future that is why Sprint is switching, but when they do switch there won't be those Verizon problems because they will take their time to migrate it because they have WiMAX to fall back on. Also I will have 3D when I want it, because I can shut it off at anytime. With Verizon, you will never have it because it's just not available with them. At least with Sprint I have that choice! I am glad you like Verizon, I like Sprint. You pay more while I don't, & as for tiered pricing again you are just speculating, but with me I just state facts.

um, wow, that is soooo wrong. Verizon took the award for best customer service followed by T-Mobile, and i agree with JD Power & Associate, i'll post the link. um, you need to look up some speed tests my friend, trust me, you'll see bigger differences when doing more extensive data using tasks, for instance i was watching Zero Punctuation on my mom's Droid Charge and that was the smoothest video playback i've EVER seen on a mobile device on a cellular network and as long as WiMAX's benchmarks are barely going beyond 3G speeds i'm not gonna believe it's going to have the same results. oh and you say you're stating fact huh? well assuming Sprint is going to "take their time to migrate it" is sounding like some mighty speculation to me guy and sure if you want a brick phone with multiple radios you can have WiMAX to fall back on which will never happen. LTE is already making Verizon's offerings pretty big. as for the EVO 3D, you can count me as one that would always have the 3D off or oh wait, i could just get the Droid Bionic since i don't care about 3D or the oh so deeply integrated Sense overlay, and who's to say Big Red won't get 3D? they might even get your EVO 3D. they got your EVO 4G didn't they? oh and RIGHT NOW you're paying more for WiMAX than i am with LTE because it's the same price as our unlimited 3G data, you are paying a premium and those are the facts guy.

This is a joke, you are seriously posting obsolete news? How can I take you seriously. FACT is Sprint is #1 plain & simple. Look at this linkhttp://www.jdpower.com/csc/ This is the correct information from JD Power itself. Wow did you think that this would fly, how can you post that old obsolete article? Guy you got to be kidding me. Your Droid Bionic LTE has a Tegra 2 chipset, 512 MB of RAM & Android 2.2. Remember I told you Sprint might release a better phone than your Bionic? Well it looks like the Motorola Photon 4G is going to be released. It may even be released before your two words and an abbreviation. It looks to be a Tegra 2 chipset with a 1 GB of RAM & Android 2.3 so it looks more capable already. The HTC Evo 3D will kill both the two words and an abbreviation & the Motorola Photon 4G. The HTC Evo 3D is going to have a dual-core chipset at 1.2 GHz, 1 GB of RAM & Android 2.3. That already kicks your two words and an abbreviation out of the water, but the Motorola Photon 4G is a little bit more capable that your two words and an abbreviation. So you still want to get an obsolete phone? That kind of sucks don't you think? Ohh here is a link on the WiMAX BS you speak of,http://www.4ginfo.com/index.php/how-fast-is-clears print-4g-wimax.html YES LTE is faster but only 3-5 seconds faster, as I always said. I think you need to do your research guy! Just as AT&T has HSPA+ to fall back while they get their LTE up, why can't Sprint do the same with WiMAX. I don't see the problem. So again you are the one speculating as always!

How can you be paying less than me with Verizon’s LTE? Let's do the math ok guy? Let's start with Verizon. This is for a single line. Verizon's unlimited talk & text is $89.99. Verizon's unlimited data is $29.99. Add them both & you have $119.98. That is without insurance or any taxes. Now Sprint. Sprint's simply everything is $99.99, that is unlimited talk, text, & data. There is a $10.00 Smartphone fee on the Sprint network. Add them both & you have $109.99. That is without insurance or any taxes. Now you take Verizon's $119.98 minus Sprint's 109.99 & you get $9.99 more that you pay with Verizon than with Sprint. Now you take the $9.99 a month & multiply it by 24 months, because that is the normal 2 year contract. You know 12 months in a year multiplied by 2. You now get $239.76 that you save in the life of that contract. You said this "oh and RIGHT NOW you're paying more for WiMAX than I am with LTE because it's the same price as our unlimited 3G data, you are paying a premium and those are the facts guy." Really I am paying more? I think this comment is silly & wrong. I can't take you seriously, you first post an obsolete article on how Verizon is #1 in customer service & then you say I pay more than you. Guy you are a joke, please post accurate information so you don't embarrass yourself in a public setting like this! Please get your facts right! Please stop the speculation! You know SOME things but you have proved you don't know much!

for a family plan with 5 lines 4 of which using Smartphones, yeah, the premium data makes a bigger dent, not to mention the same "simply everything" unlimited plan for 5 lines and just getting 1500 minutes on top of unlimited everything else for 5 lines on Verizon is $50 cheaper, if you have the "simply everything" unlimited plan you might want to go down to having 1500 minutes coz i really doubt you're using that many minutes especially if you have a smartphone but that's irrelevant because since i'm paying for Verizon's superior service, i can live with that. Verizon was #1 guy, it seems T-Mobile has taken their place which i can believe, they do have fine customer service and i know plenty of people that are satasfied with them.http://www.jdpower.com/Telecom/ratings/wireless-cu stomer-care-ratings-(volume-1)/ you can see in the ratings how people care about Sprint's customer service.

Hey you are right about the family plans with Sprint you would be paying $60.00 more a month, if all the lines are smartphones only. You are 100% right. I was wrong. Sorry to doubt you! I was right about the single line plans though!

maybe they did a new survey i didn't know about but hey good for them! they won a year! however from mine and most other people's experience, Sprint's customer service has sucked, NOBODY but the higher ups know the specs for the Droid Bionic guy, why would they cancel the "Etna" and later put out a phone with the same specs nearly half a year later, there's rumors of Verizon getting Tegra III phones by the end of the year. i don't care about how fast web pages load guy, i care about a network fast enough to do extensive things like play a 720p video without a hiccup, can WiMAX do that? highly doubtful. because you can't put all of those radios in to one phone, you'll have LTE (GSM technology so you'd need room for a SIM card) WiMAX's hardware and Sprint's CDMA radio. it doesn't matter how many networks you have the phones will only be able to take advantage of so many.

Look I am done talking to you. My HTC Evo 4G can do 720p video as you say without a "hiccup". I have been doing face time & 720p video for a year plus so quit your nonsense. Unless you have an HTC Evo 4G as your own personal phone then quit talking or speculating about it. Again you are speculating on the Droid Bionic LTE. Based on what we know, (PhoneArena) it has the stats I posted before & as of NOW the Motorola Photon 4G is a better phone. (Which I predicted to YOU would happen in a previous post, damn I am good.) The Droid Bionic is obsolete. Show me otherwise. YOU CAN'T! Sprint will get the quad-core, Android Ice Cream Nexus 3 before Verizon even considers releasing a phone with Gingerbread. Why are Verizon's phones all STILL come with Froyo? Answer that? I think Apple has something to do with that! I feel that when I post something to refute you I get dumber because I have to bring myself to your level so you can understand. This will go on forever so after this feel free to keep on posting, I am tired of talking to a kid! All you do is speculate, you give no FACTS! Have a great day! And about those radios, never mind you just wont get it........ :-)

when i put out speeds that the WiMAX benchmarks show, yeah, i get hiccups doing high quality videos. Phone Arena is speculating numb nuts! they don't know the specs for the Bionic either and anyway i don't think you follow Verizon stories very closely guy. the new Bionic is likely the much leaked Motorola "Targa" not the "Etna" version Phone Arena has listed as the Bionic, that one is cancelled, the Targa has really top notch specs including a 13MP camera and qHD resolution and a newer processor that'll support LTE connectivity. you say the Bionic is obsolete and you're right, the one that's been cancelled is obsolete compared to the EVO 3D, i'm not a fool. um, we have 2 phones with Gingerbread smart guy. get your facts straight. you haven't done a good job with YOUR facts guy. all you've done is speculate about Verizon's game plan, not giving me facts. you're really going to bring age into this? that's childish to even think that's relevant, i know more than most grown people about the Mobile Phone world so don't give me that. oh and about those radios, humor me. ;)

I hope this is true. Motorola has not been on good terms with sprint, the last real phone they released on sprint was the Razr 2, the only phones they've got since are the nextel phones, which have been far behind the curve of other carrier phones, the crappy qchat phones, and an expensive windows 6.1 phone released around the same time that windows 7 was available, nothing that a mass market consumer would be interested in like a Droid. Im sure Motorola realizes they cant play favorites to certain carriers and shun others like Sprint anymore since their good ol' buddy Verizon has ditched them to the curve after they made friends with Apple, now Motorola will need a strong presence with all major carriers if they want to remain competitive and relavent.
