Sprint and Bell Canada testing EV-DO roaming agreement

A spokesman of the Canadian wireless operator Bell Canada and a rep of the US mobile operator Sprint PCs have separately confirmed that they are testing an EV-DO roaming agreement. This agreement, which is reported to be the first international 3G roaming agreement from the US, will allow Sprint's EV-DO cards to be used for high-speed service in Canada. The Sprint's rep also claimed that currently there won't be any additional charges for customers on EV-DO plan to roam to Canada, they'll just have to check if their EV-DO card is provisioned for roaming.
