Sprint adds carrier billing for all Google Play content
Earlier this month, we told you about a few different carriers in the US and Japan adding the option for carrier billing on content from the Google Play Store other than apps like music, movies, and books. Now, Sprint has added its name to that mix.

We knew this day was coming, because it was mentioned as part of the last announcement which added carrier billing for non-app content with T-Mobile in the US, and DoCoMo, KDDI, and Softbank in Japan. So, this means that if you are on Sprint and don't want to use your credit card, or maybe don't have a credit card associated with your Google Play account, you can now charge any purchases or rentals in the Play Store directly to your Sprint bill.

Are all these purchase made pre-tax? If so, I'd rather bill my purchase through Google Play. Cellphone tax is goofy high.

Standard practice for tax rates on billed purchases will follow your billing zip code tax rate not service rate.

I'm happy with the free apps I get through the play store (-:

Maybe you're happy, but they're still of lesser quality than the free apps on the iPhone.

Maybe you should see what the buzz is about because Google pays the devs and gives the App or game away for free. So instead of just the usual free stuff, Google gives away stuff that they pay for. I highly respect that, along with the free song of the day and great deals they have on music albums every week. I don't think anybody else does this.
