Well I hope that Sprint uses this extra $10 to increase their tower coverage or improve their 4G speeds vs. just lining their paychecks with it!!!!!!

Being 2nd in the country with Coverage and arguably the best data network (signal strength, head start on 4G etc).. where do you base your "increase tower coverage" BS?

Well they were trying but triple whammy today the fee which I wont worry abt till I upgrade oh gee nmbr 2 there taking away my being able to at 1year hmmm call them abt this stuff plus a billing problem get the usual ghetto reps. (If ya get an agent in the US at all) that are rude ask you to hold for a "Second" which turns into 15 mins then of course get transferred to the wrong dept. Call back again more mad same merry go round through **** automated system that doesnt work. They are Def going Downhilll again! And they are the slowest in getting phones and updates out the list goes on. I was team Sprint but not so much anymore I wish Tmobile would gobble them Up at least they act like they care to try and help you..

I agree. I use the HTC EVO 4G and I don't mind paying $10 a month. At least I don't have to worry about overages.

Well a month ago, folks would have said, "At least they aren't raising the price of service..."

Only a matter of time before all the providers make finite data plans...

Sprint has been pretty adamant about NOT capping data, it is one of the things that separates them from their competitors. There isnt such a thing as a non-unlimited data plan with sprint, its all or none with them, which is good since people are using their phones over their computers more and more. They do charge out the wazoo on data use for people that dont have data plans though, surely as a detterent to people that dont want to buy the unlimited data.

Well the connection card plans do have caps aswell as the ZTE Peel and the Galaxy tab but Cellphone data and Mobile hotspot addons with sprint are unlimited.

I suppose that makes the decision to upgrade to a WiMax phone all the more easier for me. There's absolutely no incentive to upgrade to a non-WiMax handset in February (incidentally when I'll be eligible for upgrade pricing again).

I guess this isn't too bad. As long as data remains unlimited and the network remains free of congestion than I'll be ok. I think this is a good move for Sprint and it was going to come sooner or later.

It's not that bad, even with a 10 dollar fee they are still cheaper than verizon and att, plus its still unlimited data.

I agreed, Sprint made a smart move, they need to keep there 4G network growing, if they want to stay competative...

God this is so stupid, im a sales rep/tech for a local Sprint store, and this is the stupidest thing ive ever heard. it sux enough the way it is having the "premium data" charges and now its all going up, this is going to create quite a crap storm at work.... thanks Sprint...

Tyler, I can not believe you are ranting about how pitiful you are on this blog. I can only assume that you are a third party retailer and not a corporate store employee. I was shocked to see that the customers are dealing with this in the right manner and then I see someone upset about it and this person is a "Sprint employee". Just be thankful you have a job.. You don't have to agree with it, but do not air this out in the open. Besides, they are not going to repeal this policy just because you don't like it. Consider this a speed bump in life.... and move on.. And for all the customers out there handling this properly, thank you.

Well as a third party employee I say who cares! There raising it $10 on an incredibly cheap plan. This is what we are here for... TO SELL! Good luck Tyler, hopefully you will realize it's not a big deal before you lose your job!

What are we, the Free Speech Suppression Police? Wow, so he's upset about it, let him complain.

Sprint's Q3 2010 Earnings were in the positive for the first time in 3 years... so, let's raise prices!

.............. Patrick, you douche...

Thank you exactly like I said in my previous post I see Sprint starting to make poor decisions again and there customer service is slipping again as well. All good things come to an end at least Tmobile stays consistent in acting like they care. & they have solved alot of there signal issues with wifi calling im really tempted to break my contract!

You know, I seriously hate the whole, "Be glad you have a job" crap. If Tyler feels like Sprint is doing an injustice against their customers then he has a right to vocalize that and critisize the company that he works for. Every company should strive to be a better company for their employees and customers. And Sprint is obviously hurting on that front. Ask a Sprint employee the last time they got a raise (Beginning of 2007). But they shouldn't complain about the cost of living going up, but not being able to get a raise because they "should be happy they have jobs."

I'm happy that there are unions so companies are forced to treat folks fairly...but this is about data plans.

Here's the thing, people need to stop being shocked that the cost of cellular service is going to go up. The price of everything goes up...except $.99 chips and crap at the dollar store (and even that's not a dollar). These networks are expensive and I'm sorry, if you want better coverage and more advanced features, you're going to have to pay for it because the companies also have to pay for it. Unfortuantely companies and the government don't work like people want them to. You want the govenment to get out of debt, you have to pay more taxes. You want a faster network with more features, you have to pay Sprint, Verizon, and AT&T money to build those networks.

At some point it does get excessive, but Sprint is still the best deal out there. Better coverage than T-Mobile, but without the cost of Verizon.

So Patrick, I agree with you, but the whole "be happy you have a job..." is just fucking annoying.

Point to me one time in history where a government got out of debt through higher taxation?

Good call. Higher taxation will cause the public to be in an even bigger money hole than it already is. I say cut spending. No more foreign aid or social programs.

i agree with everything but best deal out there. sure they are cheaper than verizon but they dont have an LTE and slightly less 3g coverage. verizon is still rated the highest in conumer satisfaction and it looks like they have the best cell phone line up coming as well.

Ya I get what your saying but I slowly see Sprint making changes that are gonna make me wish I was with Tmobile at least they have poilte agents! who are in the USA the only real advantage Sprint has now is the Anymobile anytime I used to complain abt TMO's coverage too but thats been solved with wifi calling! & before you say then why dont i go back to them its because Im not ready to break contract and just switched to It would be different if they were changes for the Better!!
