Sprint Treo Pro debut halted until February 15th

If a leaked memo that is hitting the internet is for real, the Sprint Treo Pro by Palm, expected to go on sale this Sunday at Best Buy, will now be sitting in boxes until February 15th. The memo states that 1,900 units were shipped by Sprint to Best Buy stores on Thursday and Friday, but the phones will not be allowed to go through the activation process until the release date. The thinnest smartphone produced by Palm to date, features a physical QWERTY keyboard, a 2.5 inch touchscreen, Wi-Fi, GPS, a 2MP camera and Bluetooth. The phone runs on Windows Mobile 6.1. If you were planning on picking up the Treo Pro this weekend, how disappointed are you?

Phone is cool. Palm rep came thru our store with it. Too bad they had to push back the release date.

I feel for the early adopters that get it w/o knowing about the Pre, maybe that's what they wanted anyway. I hope those that upgrade w/the old plan can keep thier cheap and old data plans while also getting the discount
