Any sprint Pre users out there want to comment on the software? I am curious as I hear it is supposed to be great. I have a friend on VZW with one and he loves his Pre, but he checked this morning and the 1.4 isn't available for him yet.

I've been using 1.4 since this morning and I can tell you everything seems to be running a lot smoother. Transitions between screens now use a neat fade effect that is really cool. Video capturing is clean and editing is a breeze. Going to try and upload a video to my computer to check that out. Cards open up a little differently. Very cool stuff so far.

proud pre user here. Updated last night and to be honest I'm not as thrilled about the update as everyone else is. It's cool that I can finally record video but that's the only thing standing out to me from the update. Btw, video quality is surprisingly good for it to not be a supported feature at launch. The bad news is that the update doesn't give you flash but rather sets the platform for adobe to release flash to us. Now it's just a matter of how long adobe takes to release flash (this could be long as adobe hasn't given us a date, just that it will be released the first half of 2010 so it could be months before we see the flash player on the device.) but there were some other improvements I noticed: the call log was improved, launching applications is now faster and shows you a little app boot logo before it launches that I actually enjoy watching, it's supposedly improves battery life but I can't confirm because I haven't used the phone much today but I'm sure there is improvement. I can't think of anymore changes but I'm almost positive that there are many more... That's just what stood out to me. I'll come back and repost any other changes/improvements. Overall I'm pretty happy

Its kind of bogus how verizon has the new palm pre plus and didnt get the update yet, as a number one carrier iam upset that sprint beat them to it, just talked with verizon tech support and its being tested and approved so we just gotta wait, easy for them to say, I WANT MY DANM UPDATE.
