It's just the natural progression of things. I remember when 3G first came out, it was available on select devices and carriers, just as 4G today. Eventually it too drifted down to Boost and Virgin as the premium product became 4G,and now LTE.

The addition of 4G for these Sprint MVNOs will help them compete against others like MetroPCS and SimpleMobile, who already have 4g offerings.
