if i was a gazillionaire and those phones had specs to keep up with their mainstream high end counterparts maybe.....
but when i can get a 100x better phone for 1/100th the cost, come on, they're just showing off.

"though Vertu will begin offering devices running on Android," ???????! lol, phonearena ,is this ur dream ??? or u r only keeping up with updates of apple ,samsung and htc???
vertu is being run by an ex nokian who left nokia just to run vertu( its the one who said having android as the main platform for a company is like the warm peeing in ur pants) and nokia still maintains 10% share of the company plus there wasn't any OFFICIAL statement from vertu that it will produce any android phones in the near future.i guess vertu producing android phones is alot harder to believe than nokia producing android phones so vertu will either keep using symbian ( they released C blue quest and C blue in 2012 october. that's 8 months after the last symbian phone from nokia (808) being launched) or will switch to windows phone!!
btw ,although nokia sold off 90% of the company, its still being run as a nokia unit . a big evidence on that is vertu constellation quest blue( its totally new device running symbian belle based on the e6) was released after months from nokia selling 90% of the company ) plus vertu symbian and s40 devices still have access to nokia store and their update channels r run by nokia!!!
phonearena!! not cool u should keep up with companies like vertu even if they don't have any decent weight in the phone market. after all, u r a phone blog

The dealer confirmed that Android devices were on order. They were hoping they could swap out some inventory. OVI is still being maintained, but you should check previous articles we have written up here, Symbian is now in maintenance mode. No updates to apps are being allowed unless it is a compelling business case. Also, Nokia's divestiture of Vertu was only completed in October just following the Constellation Blue and Constellation Quest announcements. As to covering Vertu, just search our site, we do all sorts of write ups about it, and we even just brought you a hands-on and photos...

I really don't get it. Why are expensive phones (ranging from iPhones to Vertus) ugly?

I've always liked this brutal design of vertu phones. But paying through the nose for a phone???? Whoaaa...no!
