Sony has always been innovative. I'm pretty sure they will have a great start for 2012.

Funny their behind htc and especially Samsung and yet they're talking of competing with Apple. Its like they think they're products are better than everyone else.

A new branded ecosystem? I hope so, because Sony was allways cool in terms of quality, design and general approach to user, but I doubt they will manage to compete with Apple.

Apple TV will be revolutionary, reinvented television that will, through universal iTunes account and AppleID, kill the remains of physical content and illegal downloads. Among content rich systems of Apple and Amazon for that matter, Sony will have no chance, even if they rely heavily on Google.

That doesn't mean Sony can't do it - it just won't, in my opinion. Sony owns a great part of global music, movie an game industry and could easily create the richest platform in terms of content, using this ownership to gain advantage over the Apple and Amazon.
But something tells me that they will not be smart enough - they will focus on designing phones, tablets and televisions, but not on content-related approach like Apple.

Girly laptops, Overpriced Television sets, Outdated Smartphone s and ignored tablets. Yea wonderful idea. By the way why does SONY always point at apple. They are not even heavily recognized in the android world and think they can compete with apple. Well leave that to Samsung , HTC, LG and the others and concentrate on building a new PLAY-STATION.
