Sony road map includes Sony Xperia A, Sony Xperia UL and "Togari"

0. phoneArena 27 Mar 2013, 08:42 posted on

Japanese manufacturer Sony has a busy summer lined up according to a leaked road map that includes a number of new handsets and even one phablet that might up toe to toe with the Samsung GALAXY Note III whenever that launches; this would be Sony's first attempt to produce a product to compete in the phablet space...

why not just be easy and have enough time w/ur r&d team and test lab team than putting many phones in the market that the end users are sufferng from severe issues thaat having a flagship shudnt encounter too much. i have my xperia and no one likes to purchqse it :(

Eiher all the manufacturers have teamed up in a conspircy to sucker Samsung into making a 6+ inch screen Note 3 leading to a failed product or all the phone makers have gone bonkers themselves! 6.4 inch screen phone dont work...no matter how you look at it.

Besides Sammy is smart...they have already shown US carriers a prottype device that has a 5.9 inch display and I am willing to bet its the Note 3 and my next phone!

I doubt it will even have a competition against mighty galaxy note III.

Debatable... I for one won't touch a Note III (as I'm waiting for how will that pan out actually) if it's gonna come w/ the same Exynos 5 Octa unless if there's a Snapdragon 600 variant like the S 4. And if Samsung are still dumb enough at just enlarging it over the S 4 at everything else (physical design, screen size + SAME single pathetic little loudspeaker placement), then it's a definite hell no.

Togari in this sense on paper already wins.

No they wont. Looks like they are already going to miss their JB rollout for 2012 phones by a mile.

togari with snap800 seems tough challenge for note3 with octa 5 .... clash of titans!

Lets see how XZ challenges S4 despite more than a month's lead ... just bigger screen alone really doesn't matter. What would they give in place of stylus?

Somewhere else you had mentioned that xz price dropped from 38k to 35k in just one
month, this shows sony is already facing the heat of challenge, its too early to predict its sales, awaiting gs4 entry in market....
About togari and note3 clash ,what would sony bring in up against stylus is the tricky part....

flooding the market with phones with same features with slight differences

this beast will blow the note 3 away.Snapdragon 800 vs exynos octa? I think there's no competion there because snapdragon 600 is on par with the exynos octa.Snapdragon 600 which is clocked at 1.7 ghz is on par with the exynos octa, then what will happen when the 800 is released at 2.3 ghz? It will simply blow the exynos away!!!

But octa 5 can also be clocked up over 2Ghz and we still dont know how S4's octa at 1.6Ghz is a match to snap 600 at 1.9Ghz , moreover US version of note3 wil get snap 800....its a close call

even if the exynos octa can be clocked over 2 ghz or even slightly above the 800 (which i'm sure won't be possible) it will not be able to match the mighty snapdragon and going by the history of samsung the note 3 will be clocked at 1.8 ghz(s2 1.2 ghz - note 1.4 ghz, s3 1.4 ghz - note 2 1.6 ghz) and if you go by this, the S5 will also be clocked at 1.8(note 1.4 ghz - s3 1.4 ghz, note 2 1.6 ghz - s4 1.6 ghz)

Sony should focus on screens as well because the z is said to have weak viewing angles which.is not a bother to most but if they wanna beat the rest then errors should be little to none

o and they will also have to brush up in the camera department if things are to continue to go smooth because the z's camer

Its the truth man, theres room for error as long as the marketing is strong but there is also opportunity to take the market AND have a all around well done product! Leaving no room for outsiders to complain about what its missing and what it doesn't have

If the Xperia A is 1080p I might be interested. I have always been a Sony fan, the company and not the fan boys. Their fanboys, especially the PS3 ones are some of the worst.
