at first read what i said and then start saying bullsh*ts and bashing what you don't like.
have you ever hold XZ in your hand or just repeating what biased sites say?
im having it for more than 4 months and so far i had no problems with it.
Sony is not like Sammy who brainwashes people with its ads. and about Nokia, im a fan of Nokia alongside Sony but i try to see the reality. the most exaggerated part of every Nokia phone is its camera but how many times do you use your camera? just look at these specs and tell me do you think Nokia can put something like these specs? i said if these specs come true then we'll have a complete phone but EOS is "camera-centric" as you said.

I would be glad to see sony competing with Nokia again:)
I remember times of cybershot and n-series...great times

answerinmg your questions...I'm using camera in my phone everyday and night. believe it or not. For me, this is the most relevant feature of a phone when I consider buying a new one.
But why are you neglecting Nokia's tech?
Carl Zeiss and perfectly spherical lens , mechanical shutter, nd filter, best xenon in business and PureView tech which has already prooved to be the most advanced technology in mobile realm are not enough? Why are you claiming that sony will do sth better? As you remember sony has tried many times to retake its place but too many times they failed.
I hope that this time they will make something special, however I don't think it will be good enough to compete with Nokia's monstrosity.

./...and what's wrong with camera-centric? Sony is trying to do the same making honami. So what's your point?
I can't agree that camera is over-exaggerated.
Nokia has proveed many times that when it comes to mobile photography, they have no competition. Not everything they did properly (n86 for example or some aspects of Lumia) but now they're going to merge all their tech and experience in one device.

i think Sony Hoami is not just camera phone but it's all rounded smartphone great dsplay, audio quality and design. those Carl Zeiss lens, Camera Sensor, Xenon is not Nokia tech
If the specs is true Sony Honami is the only one who can compete with EOS at least at the picture and video quality.
because some rumours said they develope the camera base on RX100 camera, combine that with Sony G Lens. Xenon/some powerful LED Flash, optical stabilizer (like Sony Stedyshoot), Bionz image processor and the software is taking care by Sony camera division.
but i know all of those rumours can be fake but is not imposible because Sony have the technology

i think its still exmore sensor just the upgrade version.
X reality is the next generation of bravia engine so they will use the best tech for the best device
sony sensor is great almost every smartphone uses sony sensor from S4, iphone to Lumia 920/928/925 the only problem with sony smartphone is on the software, but since Honami camera will be taking by sony camera division probably the camera will be comparable with eos

920, 928 and 925 use the same sensor and it's sony sensor
to prove it to you just check this out

Would love this more if the screen was a more user friendly 4.5" to 4.7" screen size, 5" is to large for the main stream. Better design than the MASSIVE samsung zoom though. It better have that Xenon flash .

If this is gonna be real, Sony will hold a upper hand for at least a month or 2. till Note 3 and HTC Phablet hits the market.

if the specs are true... then to SONY : "Shut up & take my money"..!!!!
74. jackhammeR (Posts: 1548; Member since: 17 Oct 2011)
I'm not saying it's a bad phone..great that sony doesn't give up and want to compete in such crowded market but keep in mind that sony made many mistakes and didn't live up to what they claimed about their flagships (pointing at mobile bravia engine and poor viewing angles and high reflectivity or exmor sensor).
Anyway, would be glad to see two titans (Nokia and sony) to fight again. Just remember that spec sheet is not everything and final execution may vary terribly.
I have a strange feeling that the closer to unveil the EOS the more enemies it has.

i won't mind if this does not become a hit. at least, it would likely be priced competitively. once sony regains its former glory, it will be pricing products the same way apple does.
that'd be sad. just let sony progress slowly. this company should not fall, though.
