Sony might have lost its positions in the smartphone market, but it’s confident that it will regain them and will do so by launching a smartphone that would give the new iPhone and Galaxy S a run for the money…

My Thoughts also. The s3 is 6 months old now and the s4 is probably 75% through its design and create cycle at this stage so Sony should realistically look ahead to challenging that,judging by apples history the next iphone will be the iphone 5$ so the current design and tech is the most accurate of what that will be.
That saying since sony got rid of ericsson the phones have really improved,the Xperia T is the first sony phone that really is up to the top level it should be at. The Yuga phone design above if it is true needs less bezel though!

Keep this principle in mind Sony and we will see you rise without a doubt.......as you DO NOT need a "zoo" or "army" of phones to make it! You just need that one phone that will stick out and grab every ones attention!
O and a little word to wise...........youve still got to do a bit better with the naming......i get the feeling "Yuga" wont sit well with people in america.....sorry just the way it is......correct that as well and people wont be able to deny you for the great company you are Sony :)

About time. This is half a year too late IMO. And it should be future-proof for at least a year.
It still looks better than the droid DNA.
And if it is Playstation certified, it will rock the competition. (until s4 or s5 comes out at least)
I don't even know why they bother to mention iPhone5.

Actually it's not late... I mean, both the intl' version of HTC Droid & Yuga will be announced at CES... So it'll be a head-to-head fight for both of 'em... So let's wait & watch... Since Xperia S,ion,T,V, HTC one X,S & V are playstation certified, we can expect Yuga to be certified too...:)
PS : Mostly Yuga will announced at CES, if not, at MWC...

Sony is just not Sony anymore. I remember my first tv I bought in 1986--the 150 pound 27 inch trinitron tv still works--I said that I wasn't going to buy my hd flatscreen tv until my first tv stopped working...long story short--I had to buy a hd lcd. Those days of Sony are long, long gone. They just don't build to the quality standards that has earned them the respect in the electronics arena that they commanded. They are expensive--they don't listen to their customers...For instance tablets--the one they just released (Xperia S) was pulled for MAJOR wi-fi issues--and on top of that it's priced above the competition...for smartphones--the best thing they did was leave that Ericcson name behind them, but being with Ericcson for so long has left them crippled in the smartphone area.

it looks good! but still 5" is super huge for a smartphone! its competition is the note 2 and the DNA! not the iPhone and galaxy s3/4(future)
but then again when sony will make this phone, someone might make already something with 3GB ram and 2GHZ quad-core processor(you'll never know)... and this will make this sony yuga like an old spec phone! they need to make something fresh! something that will be very very likable to everyone! and 12MP will be overrated! they need more and more to make an monstrous phone!
but i still prefer the maximum of 4.5" and minimum of 3.5"(but people consider this as low end screen now) or average of 4.3" screen size of a phone! 5" is just very very big to be a phone!
anyways, good luck sony!! im wishing you the best! coz you are one of the makers of a very good looking phones ever! (nokia, LG, BlackBerry and motorola really make good looking phones to me!)
