this is my main problem on Sony, their phone names don't ring a bell with the people. too much letters, I think they should have made the Xperia S II instead or something... otherwise, I'd buy a sony phone... I just had a bad experience on the PLAY.
wish it will be cheaper than what pureview has to offer since Photogs will be choosing that over this anytime.

well if nokia come up with the new grapheine method on PW it would be even better

No no no. Pureview is on a different league. It's a monster from another dimension, a gift from heaven, the beginning and the end, the unstoppable force and the immovable object. It's a camera with a phone OS.
Decent enemies are phones with a camera (get the difference?): like the ones found on some good smartphones (iPhone4/4s, SGS3/SGS2, HtcOneX, XperiaS).

Even if Sony is the manufacturer we will see these sensors in some other company's mobile first.
I dont know why Sony is always late to react.
nokia cant pull out current hardware due to their OS limitations but why cant Sony.
yet to see a quadcore from Sony with a great design and screen.

Hope not!!! I dont want sony to sell these sensors to others apart from using them their own
so it would be
one of a kind
!

I would want that too, but for as a company out to make profit why not sell it to others?. Many manufaturers are actually using the previous generetion of camera sensors from sony Ex. iPhone4s, SGS3, etc. . . OH well what am I saying you guys obviously know this. . . blah! blah!

Apple invented These as they are sure to make the iphone 5 camera Revolutionary!!!!!

It quite clearly said Sony invented them, do you mean Apple will use this in the next iPhone?
11. No_Nonsense posted on 20 Aug 2012, 12:06 0 3
Well the 808 pawns this, an upcoming Lumia device (don't know this Nokia World or MWC 2013) will own the 808. However, lets hope that Sony pushes this into its next flagship model

Not sure whether or not these will be in the next iphone, considering theyre not in any of Sony's currently released handsets, and have only just been developed, so letting Apple use this would be a huge mistake imo, barely anyone knows that the iphone's camera's are made by Sony!

hey, sony|! go back to your r&d and hand in their resignation. You've been wandering around your competitors since the first xperia was released.
There was a time when you and Nokia were equal on so many levels and were easily the best in e.g. camera department. And now what? You're chasing samsung, htc, apple. Soon probably chinese as well.
Stop playing like htc does and announcing some magic carpets, image chips and other rubbish. Just do a great handsets like a few years ago.
