Sony Xperia Z1, Z1 Compact and Z Ultra to get Android 4.4 KitKat in April?
According to French mobile operator SFR, Sony’s new Xperia Z1 Compact, which was launched in January running Android 4.3 Jelly Bean, should be updated to Android 4.4.2 KitKat starting April. Together with it, the Xperia Z1 and Xperia Z Ultra should also get a taste of KitKat that month. As always, we can’t confirm anything until Sony says so.

SFR doesn’t mention when the older Xperia Z will get KitKat, only saying that this handset has already received an update to Android 4.3 Jelly Bean. We heard that the Z, which is now more than one year old, may receive KitKat in March. However, nothing is official at this point.

SFR also says that LG’s G2 will get Android KitKat starting March 3 - which is in line with what we previously heard (some G2 versions are already running KitKat anyway).
