Sony Xperia Z1 (Honami) benchmark

0. phoneArena 19 Sep 2013, 07:51 posted on

Well, well, well, look who's here! The Sony Xperia Z1 itself has arrived, and if it had the faintest idea what we were going to do with it, it'd have probably stayed at home... But, being the self-confident smartphone that it is (and we can't blame it - the phone is a powerhouse!), it has fallen right into our geeky hands, so we've seized the opportunity and put Sony's new Android flagship through its paces...

Jealous much about your phone :P I have SGS3 from the time it came out and now I'm thinking about changing it. I love Lmost everything in G2, but Im waiting for full review of Z1 battery test and camera. If the battery will be as good as in G2 i think i might get Sony instead of LG :o

You can see benchmark results here:http://www.gsmarena.com/sony_xperia_z1-review-983p4.php
Z1 has a close competition with G2 and ZU.

On GSMarena, the Talk Time is on the top. The video playback and web browsing isn't as impressive as the G2 but definitely better than the Z Ultra.

O_o, where did you get that score? I think gsmarena is more accurate when it comes to benchmarking, just wait a little bit.

For those who want to know the battery endurance rating of your highly anticipated xperia Z1, go to gsm arena. Web surf, video playback are so so, only talk time is impressive.

Yeah, I've seen it.

I was actually expecting 45-50 hours 53 hours is better. The important thing for me is the Talk Time which is surprisingly on the top. Though I'm sure some sort of firmware update will improve the battery life. I have a powerbank anyways. Overall, not disappointed.

That's good, but the G2's battery and benchmark are pretty impressive, you don't need to bring portable battery for whole day use.

Both the G2 pushes the same amount if pixels, both have S800 clocked the same, both have 2gb of ram etc. Why even look at benchmarks, the hardware is the same.

The discrepancies come from cooking the benchmarks, which everyone does yet only Samsung gets called out for it for some reason in regards to the Exynos Octa. Or it comes from the different software skins and then you would be just getting into the same reasons iPhone's bench so high despite having some weak hardware.

Basically out the same software on both the Z1 and G2 they would be EXACTLY THE SAME in benchmarks so stop whining if one S800 device somehow scores lower on benchmarks than another. For all intents and purposes they are the same.
