For the 1 billionth time it is NOT an octa core. It is 2 processors together. The power saver is only a7 (very bad, you will notice a lot of lag if you use it.) The other is an exynos 5 quad core (very good should be same cpu power as a tegra 4 with worse gpu.) Only one of these processors can be used at a time, the a7 will most likely be used only while in power saving mode.

Funny thing is your battery improvement from this horrible idea is going to be negligible from just using an exynos 5. Its a stupid gimmick that needs to die.

GS4 won't be out for 2-4 months, there is no guarantee they are even going to use an exynos 5, there is no mention of lte on it so so far carriers will not accept it. It will probably be an s3 with a 1080p 5" screen and the US version will have a snapdragon s4 pro while the international will have an s4 pro to or a quad core exynos 5 or a snapdragon s4 pro.

Its too late for USA and Japan , as we using DROID DNA and even better HTC butterfly with same specs since november.
I think it will come even late to USA, will not sell at all , just like xperion did not sell.

NOw gs4 is coming with HTC m7 .. way more powerfull processors, in less than 1 months time, DNA released 3 months ago had same specs, SONY XPERIA Z has other good features but TOO LATE FOR USA

how can you say that? would you please count the similarities of this one with DROID DNA? the build quality, camera, micro SD, NFC, battery and above all water and dust proof? only the processor and display are the same. and again would you please count some of the advantages of M7 or S4 over this one. this phone is the best one available right now and can't be easily out performed by it upcoming rivals.

HTC butterfly has SD card, even DNA has NFC, but verizon removed sd card on purpose... xperia z has water proff and ust prodd.. which motorola defy XT had long back.. but no one cares... we take good care of our phones... that feature is good but not the cutting edge.

Performance.. as it same old snapdragon s4 pro which DNA, nexus 4 had from 4 months... performance is just same.

Camera.. samples do not look grt for xperia z.. HTC has image sense chip 99 continuous burst shot,, no one phone can do that 02 sec/shot.. with crystal clear quality.

and DNA has grt shots, I can post gallery from my DNA any time, just let me know when you want serious... only flaw i found was i had to clean lens every time I shot and adjust ISO in night for more detail shots.

M7 will have tergra 4 or snap dragon s 4 prime.. much superior to s4 pro in xperia z and dna...

I proved every thing to you... i suggest wait for gs4...else your money will be wasted

first, none of DNA or Butterfly have NFC.
second, didnt you see the samples of Z camera compared with Nokia 808. its samples were as good or even better than 808 although it has a 41MP camera. and i think you know that every mobile industry use Sony sensors for its cameras. so, please dont try to downgrade Sony cameras.
third, about the processor, if M7 features tegra4 processor it would be a great loss as far as NVidia processors dont do well. S 4 prime can make some difference.
so you see there is no reason to wait for M7 or even S4 and dont forget that everyone has a different taste.

go and read the comments under that camera comparison and then you'll find out who is dumb. everybody said that Z's camera is one of the best but because you're a fanatic fanboy you don't want to accept it.
you can wait for that fu*king cheap plastic octa core or that M7 with its reiterative and boring design. what do you think about the processor? is that the difference that huge? you must know that S 4 prime will not be released before H2 and no fact is available about how well that octa core will work. so you can wait, but you can't impose your ideas on others.

The galaxy s4 will not be a threat. I highly doubt the US version will have an exynos 5 either it will be an s4 pro just like the xperia 7. If your lucky the international will be the quad exynos 5 but it will only get 3g speeds in the US. From what samsung has said it sounds like the exynos 5's aren't even close to working in phones because overheating.

Now, I agree with you.
And it really annoys me how Sony constantly uses that aggressive compression algorithm, and undermines the potential of their phone cameras.
That being said, the Z still produces really good photos, especially in low light

well m a Sony Fanboy but I thumbed you up. I totally agree with you guys. Sony's cams are not upto the par with the Competition. Blur images due to Heavy Compression. When will Sony understand that the external storage option will help us to store Heavy Images.

Its too late for USA, advanced american are already using same processor and better screen super lcd 3 1080 with droid dna, no one in usa is waiting for xperia z, on verizon we got DNA, on other we will wait for gs4, optimus g2 or m7
