Sony Xperia Z Ultra is the largest 'phone' ever: here is how it eclipses all others (size comparison)

The Sony Xperia Z Ultra is real, it's official and... it's humongous. Sony calls its 6.44-inch creation a smartphone, most people would call it a phablet, and in reality it looks much more like a tablet than a phone...

Launching this kinda device will only strengthen Samsung's position. Coz some people would like to get bigger phablets. And if they do, they will have options of Galaxy Mega 5.8 & 6.3 and now Xperia z Ultra. Compared to samsung devices, Xperia z Ultra lacks camera flash & micro SD which will benefit samsung coz people would prefer Galaxy Mega 5.8 & Galaxy Mega 6.3 instead of xperia z ultra

I still have my Dell Streak 5" from 3 years ago. It still rocks. Shame Dell stopped production as they "realized" nobody was interested in bigger screens.

On screen buttons means this has less usable screen than the mega 6.3 yet it is much larger physically

Sony has lost the plot.
Let's make a large screen phone but hey why not make it even bigger with a huge bezel.
Why bother with flash... Our customers don't need to take pictures in low light.
Lets put a tiny battery inside so the phablet doesn't even last a day of heavy usage.

Maybe put a qHD screen on a 6.3 inch phone in 2013 just to let our customers play Minecraft all day.
'No, on screen buttons are too advanced. We should bring convenience to customers by installing physical buttons that use touch tech and let customers press the back button immediately after gripping the phone.'
We should make a phone as small, ugly and smooth edged as possible, best thing to do is to have our customers lose their grip when holding it so we can make money out of maintenance.
Naw. The screen is Minecraft 1.6.2 we only need a dual core to power it. It's OK if video playing is laggy.
We will put an extra 200 mAh of battery just to make it sound more than 3000 mAh.
It is 2013. Let's forget all about old people who like listening to the radio.
