Sony Xperia XZ Premium hits the shelves in Europe on June 1

Sony Xperia XZ Premium is the first flagship smartphone announced this year that packs Qualcomm's powerful Snapdragon 835 processor. Although Samsung's Galaxy S8 and S8+ are the first Snapdragon 835-based phones to hit the shelves, Sony's flagship can't come soon enough.

We've been reporting about the upcoming availability of the Xperia XZ Premium and learned the smartphone would be launched in select European markets in June.

It appears that at least one carrier in Germany has just confirmed the Xperia XZ Premium will be in the hands of customers on June 1. Major carrier O2 will probably be followed by other network operators and retailers in the country, but details about price haven't been disclosed.

In our most recent report about the Xperia XZ Premium, we've mentioned that Sony plans to launch a Bronze Pink color variation, but it's unclear what countries will get this particular model.

Sony Xperia XZ Premium is already available for pre-order in the UK for £649. At least three retailers in the country are now offering the smartphone, but neither will ship it until early June.
