Sony Xperia V launch delayed in parts of Europe

If the Sony Xperia V happens to be on your holiday shopping list, then you might have to cross it out. The smartphone's launch is being delayed until January of 2013 in some markets, including France and presumably other parts of Europe. The bad news comes from an official source, namely Sony Xperia France's Twitter account...

Sony should cancel this phone and introduce something else, and they should announce the phone just a few weeks before selling to the market.

I would, actually, like to have this phone because I think its everything the One S (witch btw I like very much in terms of design and I like Sense UI) was supposed to be like screen, camera, microSD card support and + its water-resistant and nice looking (although One S looks much better to me). I don't know... Maybe you're right about the LATE thing and it will probably be slightly overpriced according to its specs when it gets out but its nonetheless a good phone and very competitive against other high-end devices. As I just said, the price is probably going to change my mind and be the one guilty for not-buying this phone but if that's so, than I need to look up for another device.

no way should they cancel this phone dood.......S4+ processor, water resistant, 13 mp camera, 4.3 inch HD screen,playstation certified, Gorgeous Design, and to top it all off, it has a REMOVABLE BATTERY!!

thats bad news for sony lovers , and is it gonna effect on launching in india ? im waiting and waiting for this phone so despratly but now i think i have to go for another phone :( :(

Don't let your hopes high, man. I don't think Xperia V will be made available in the Indian market on the same lines of Xperia Acro S. If by any chance it is, it's going to be a miracle.

Typical trait of Sony! They manufacture some beautiful and feature rich phones, yet always delay the phones' availability. By the time those phones hit the stores, people would have grabbed phones from other brands thus losing out potential customers.

Sony is probably the only company with poorer marketing strategy than HTC! They make gorgeous, well built and desirable phones but deliver them to the market late or fail to market them adequately. Arguably, the fruit company's biggest strength is its marketing nous! Can someone at Sony possibly explain why you would miss the Christmas period and release a phone when people have spent all their money on Christmas and presents! Doh! By the way, there seems to be a shortage the Xperia T, especially the gorgeous white variant!!
