So Sony will take a direct collision course against iPhone. Very interesting.

What a great Device ! Sony ist back.....the new Xperia Line is so much better as for example the ARC S. Great Camera, Perfect Design .....all necessary technical Specs included. Who wants more ? The Split from Ericsson was one of the beste decisions from Sony ever. Well done Sony.......Markus fromhttp://www.DSLundMobilfunk.de

Well in comparison to the LG Optimus G, it's not quad-core (using the next generation processors), it's not 2GB of ram, and the screen resolution isn't as high. Also it won't record 1080P with 60fps I assume?

Is it still a better phone? Or does Sony have other beasts to unleash?

11. sadaff posted on 29 Aug 2012, 10:02 4 5

Quad core from LG sounds good but obviously Sony updates their phones unlike LG so having a Quad core from LG is of no use!

18. redmd posted on 29 Aug 2012, 10:16 3 3

with technology these days, you are likely to update your phone than it's OS. I think LG is the better phone.

24. Mittal posted on 29 Aug 2012, 10:50 1

Sony will probably price the T close to the G, timely updates is a trait respected, but that doesnt make it better than the G
It is one thing to say that the T offers enough power for most uses and that what addition G offers is of no practical use yet, but its not like slow updates make the G incompetent in front of T
Frankly, had the G been released by Samsung, it would have generated 100 times more excitement

32. The_Innovation posted on 29 Aug 2012, 15:04 3

Yea true, but I think with todays technology, software is actually more important for people, and more is possible with software updates, so timely updates are a pretty big deal.

41. Mittal posted on 30 Aug 2012, 01:32

guess yur right!

17. RamyRamz69 posted on 29 Aug 2012, 10:14 2 1

It has a better camera, design, UI skin, screen(Whitemagic > Anything) and is Playstation certified. Not to mention that you cannot trust LG with updates.

And seriously, you won't notice the difference between S4 and S4Pro unless you're doing benchmarks or playing games that require Quad Core processors which are only found in Nividia Tegrazone.

20. The_Innovation posted on 29 Aug 2012, 10:25

I see, well I was really asking for more clarification, don't see the reason why people get mouse trigger happy clicking the thumbs down immediately lol.

I see what you mean, but even with that in mind, do you think Sony will release another one with the same specs as the LG one? Meaning a quad-core phone...

28. RamyRamz69 posted on 29 Aug 2012, 10:57

Why release a quad core phone when you have Dual Core Krait...

And just fyi, the S4 Pro is an APQ chip and not an MSM, which means it's not as battery efficient as the normal S4.

33. The_Innovation posted on 29 Aug 2012, 15:05 2

Oh no....battery is my number 1 issue.

So Sony is the better choice then?

35. nsnk86 posted on 29 Aug 2012, 15:20 1

They didn't split from Ericsson. They own ericcsson! Also Sony paid quite a large sum to have their phone as the james bond phone. let's just say it's over a few million.

14. XiphiasGladius posted on 29 Aug 2012, 10:10 2

They didn't split? They own Ericcsson? Where were you form? Mars?

26. Mittal posted on 29 Aug 2012, 10:53 2

haha they dont own Ericsson, they just bought all the shares of their joint venture...

37. Atlas posted on 29 Aug 2012, 16:08 1

Ericsson is a very large brand of tech, its from Sweden and I doubt Sony Mobile paid Columbia (Sony Pictures) that much.

Go Sony finally, they make awesome products, butt why do they always have to be freakin late from everybody else. This should have come with a quad/core S4 pro and adreno 320 graphics, then it would be a killer phone;)

"Inspire and fulfill"

Perhaps Sony can start by giving proper answers to questions from potential customers instead of reading the prefab crap from a callcenter's screen.

Inspire... sure., Perhaps Sony can start by using this years OS in this years devices instead of last years OS in this years offerings. Or by implementing ALL the features of their featurephones (e.g. call recording, local USB syncing etc...)

Sony, here are a few tips to start inspiring.

1) USE the bloody devices yourselves BEFORE they go to shops. You can hand over some prototypes to the engineers whom actually develop the things so they can SEE the potential problems for themselves and rectify these before the full manufacturing process starts.

2) Subscribe to influencial sites to see how customers feel about the products. Sites like e.g. XDA-developpers, esato or even this site etc... are a good indicator to find out why a product fails or succeeds. READ the reviews and use the comments given by these ppl to IMPROVE the products instead of belittle the reviewers.

3) Don't dismiss the request for improvements or features (e.g. call recording, notification lights, memory expansion or even trivial things like the length of the supplied USB cable). You can find a lot of similar questions on the many user forums.

In fact it is a BAD sign if users need to hack/root/jailbreak a phone and create a small tool to implement feature that YOU should have included in the first place. Example given the "LG touch notification light" hack.

These tips are valid for ALL phone developpers.

Then perhaps we can finally get the devices that we WANT instead of the crap they THEY WANT US TO BUY!
