First SONY delays launching Xperia T then they announce the Z well in time which makes sure the T does not do well (not to forget the screw up with the ION launch delay)
Now they are launching this one so that no one buys the already hard to find V
On top of that this pathetic nomenclature they are following
I am a SONY fan (mostly for the SOny Ericsson time), but i am not fully confident in what is happening currently

it is about two month that Experia T is available and V is released, its about 2 weeks now. this will be introduced late February and then it will be available for April/ May (maybe). so what is wrong with Sony's scheduling. and of course Z has nothing to do with this one. Z is a flagship and this one a mid-ranger.

18. Mittal posted on 07 Feb 2013, 02:46

u r right on that perhaps but now since folks know that the Z will launch with a flagship status and price, will they not wait for it rather than buy a T right now?
So practically T got the limelight for a very short duration.
They could not cash in on the T's potential because of its late launch
The current top dog Samsung released the s3 well in time, gives very good limelight time to its flagships, and only THEN brings out the next best thing.
Now starting with the Z, if Sony can bring it to markets in decent time, then it can start posing as a serious contender again!

but their price are not comparable. there are lots of people who want a mid-range phone with a affordable price instead of a flagship with high one.

sony can't be stopped!!

I wonder why most leaked photos of future devices are blurry.
Anyway, I'd be happy if that transparent bar at the bottom lights up like Xperia U. And the display seems to be better compared to V, deeper blacks.

Do you seriously think they can take pictures of these phones with bulky DSLR's/digicams? Or with camera flash?

7. itsjustJOH posted on 06 Feb 2013, 10:31 1

Uh, what? Can't they?

16. daftastic posted on 07 Feb 2013, 00:09 2

No of course not /facepalm

This isn't official yet is it? It's a leak right? You know if they get caught taking photos of unreleased phones they will most likely get sacked from their jobs.

20. itsjustJOH posted on 07 Feb 2013, 20:34

They "can", but they "won't". /facepalm

21. daftastic posted on 07 Feb 2013, 21:23

Same difference. The point is they wanna keep their jobs.

Glad I didn't get the Xperia V yet. Looks like it has a better screen as well.

So much bezel...

17. daftastic posted on 07 Feb 2013, 00:10 4

Compared to the V, Z10, iPhone 5, heck even the TX/T that looks like a smaller bezel to me.

looks like the 2nd gen of NXT line!! yehey!!!
Sony is making good-great looking phones this year

Sony always make great LOW END devices designs

14. Taters posted on 06 Feb 2013, 21:33

If they designed this just like the Z I would have bought it. Sounds like they cheaped out though with the back cover. Too bad because this phone should perform better than the Z since it uses the same internals but pushes less pixels.

We'll know more about this at MWC.
