The Sony Xperia S can brag about having the beautiful signature design of the Sony NXT series, it might have a dual-core processor and a great camera, but it can’t be proud of…

This phone looks good in mock ups and crappy in real life.
Sgs3 looks crappy in mock ups but good in real life.
But yah, if this thing came with ics i'm sure sony would be seeing better sales.

are you serious crappy in real life?? people on youtube that give great reviews and show this phone side by side to other phones, they show exactly how this phone looks in your hand.... I dont see how this phone could be crappy in real life??? do you own both?

i don't own either, just basing it off pictures I see in reviews and videos.
I thought the gs3 looked awful when the press release videos came out but my opinion changed when I saw the hands on videos. The opposite occured for me with the xperia S.
Don't get all defensive I'm not insulting anyone it's just my opinion. That's great if you like the design. The beauty of android...one size doesn't fit all.

its cool bro, our opinions are our opinions....but i have to be honest a 4.8 in screen is beyond me, and this is "me" again lol.. I really dont see how it could be comfortable unless you have Large hands... but maybe im wrong i dont know... im basing this opinon on what i have now, an atrix 2 its 4.3 inches and it fits my hand wholey. and i looked at phones that where like .2 inches bigger, and while the number isnt a big difference, I MOST DEFINITELY seen a difference in size. So if a 4.5 inch phone is NOTICEABLY bigger, than I couldnt imagine a 4.8 inch phone!!!

I just want to say that us having patience isnt a bad thing, patience is a good thing, and the people who are loyal to the specific brand of phone they have are good people. If you own a samsung, motorola,LG,HTC,or even an Apple phone then you should stick too your phone unless you just want to get a new phone for a GOOD REASON, other than getting another one because of what people say and the pressure they build up!! because people say " this phone has a quadcore and this one doesnt and this one has ics and this one only has gingerbread!" If you honestly dont have any reason to get a new phone or switch to a different brand then you should stick it out with the phone you have now and remember why you got it in the first place... STICK IT OUT with sony and wait to see what they offer doesnt matter if other phones SEEM to be better than yours, and notice i said "SEEM"..... Same thing with marriage i guess, you marry your wife because you LOVE her and then someone other women comes along that might look like a PORN STAR lol and make you want to cheat on your wife but you know thats not good ya know.... I guess what im tryna say if you Have a good phone and you know it then dont let the hype and pressure of what the media and others are saying persaude you into getting something you really dont even need.... :) i got a motorola atrix 2 and ima stick it out until they make the atrix 3....

Just to add to this article, it was not 'Sony' that said the Xperia S would be getting the upgrade in late May/early June, it was one of the moderators (Markus, to be precise) on Sony's forum, he is now the one who has corrected himself (Not Sony as Sony were never wrong in the first place) about this, Sony as a company has always said expect a late Q2 release, so to blame Sony is beyond me, PA please read into your articles before you post them, for those interested, a more accurate article was on Xperia Blog yesterday:http://www.xperiablog.net/2012

But Q2 is April, May and June. So technicaly Sony is right about upgrading to ICS in late Q2. Which is "end May, mid June or end June". So this is, in my eyes, a useless post and a useless website. GSMArena.com is way better....

Let's not forget that Sony often has,in the past, added additional features of the newer software version into the current/older version
I will personally be getting an ion (same phone basically ) once it launches and will happily wait for ics to come in the near future... Because it does everything I want it to do right now and does so well regardless of what version it's currently on, the upgrade will be appreciated when it does come
