Sony US presents the Xperia X series in new videos, release dates not yet announced
Sony this month launched the Xperia X series in a few European markets, and it's planning to bring it to many countries around the world, including the US. At the moment, the Xperia X family includes four smartphones - Xperia X Performance, Xperia X, Xperia XA, and Xperia XA Ultra - all of which are listed as coming soon over at Sony Mobile's official US website.

While Sony hasn't provided any US launch dates for its new smartphones, today it released promo videos showcasing all of them, minus the Xperia XA Ultra (which was announced last week, not in February like the other three handsets). The videos, embedded below, don't reveal anything that we didn't already know about the Xperia X, X Performance, and XA, but they probably indicate the fact that Sony is almost ready to start selling these three devices stateside.

At the moment, the European prices for Sony's new handsets (except for the XA Ultra) are as follows: Xperia X Performance - around €700, Xperia X - around €600, Xperia XA - €300. We assume that, in the US, Sony will ask about $700, $600, and $300, respectively, for the devices. But we'll see about that when official details are available. Until then, to check out the differences between the three smartphones, read our Xperia X, X Performance and XA hands-on from Mobile World Congress 2016.

Since no US carrier announced anything regarding the Xperia X family, it looks like Sony will sell the phones in the US only unlocked. Do you plan to purchase any of these handsets?
