Pure skills comes from finland in original. Don't expect it be a direct competitor to Lumia 1020.

Well if you read PA's comparison between the Lumia 1020 and other devices like the Galaxy S4, you would know that the 1020 was really only slightly better than the S4's camera. PA mostly only gave the 1020 a one point advantage over the S4 (and occasionally the S4 beat or tied the 1020 in the comparison). So, given the fact that the Sony Honami is suppose to put more emphasis on the camera than Samsung did with the S4 (let's face it, Samsung mostly just wanted to put an HDR camera in the S4 without really giving it much thought) I would say that there is a chance the Honami could compete with the 1020. Not to mention the fact that the 1020 is still running on old hardware such as the Adreno 225 (which I think the Adreno 330 either gives 5 times or 10 times the performance, I don't have time to really double check) gives the Honami somewhat of an advantage because it's more future proof when it comes to modern mobile gaming or being able to run more intensive applications that may have yet to be released.

So, yes, I do believe the Honami can be a direct competitor to the 1020 if you make it to be by your own accord.

Shot to Shot performance in 1020 is slow (~3 to 4 seconds). Tried this for myself in ATT store on a newly displayed nokia. Nice camera, however, with that performance issue, I'm out. Hopefully, they can fix this with OTA firmware update. Not to mention I was willing to sacrifice my google cloud ecosystem to buy into the MS ecosystem. Android camera shot to shot rocks! Looking for a great camera phone. I've grown tired of waiting for Sammy to get it right. Sony FTW!!

I didn't have to rely on their assessment, I looked at the photos myself and agreed for the most part with their assessment.

Here is Techno Buffalo's comparison:

Looking at their pictures, there seems to be pros and cons for both devices. The S4 produces better color representation that can be seen in the Frito's picture (the red on the bag looks more like the red you would actually see instead of the pinkish red on the 1020's photo) while the Lumia 1020 offers better low-light pictures (which to be fair the 1020 does have a Xenon flash versus the LED one found on the S4). All I am saying is that in a comparison between a device that emphasizes it's camera and a device that emphasizes all around performance, while the 1020 does offer better camera performance it is not by much in my opinion. Your opinion may be different. However, it still doesn't take away from the fact that when comparing devices you have to decide whether you just want a device that offers a good camera or a device that offers all around performance.

Here is another comparison. Again, the Lumia 1020 wins but it doesn't seem by that much.

Phone does sound exciting. My main hjope is that once it's announced they release it within a month and not talk about it on social media forever without it being available.

I'm honestly not sure how you can knock the phone for being tested on 4.2.2 when 4.3 was literally just announced last week. Knowing Sony's announcement about upgrading existing devices to 4.3.

I don’t really care about benchmark anymore since it has S800.

but i want to know how good that the camera, screen and audio quality.

i just hope Sony make more compact phone with 4.3” - 4.7” Triluminos or WhiteMagic, Stereo speaker or Magnetic fluid speaker with walkman audio chip, 8 - 13MP Camera with Optical SteadyShot + G Lens + Bionz + Xenon or at least Powerful Dual LED, dust and waterproof, using the same design like Xperia SP/V/ZL and S800.

Come on! Don't expect 4.3 on devices just yet it needs time to put stuffs and debugging by the companies. I hate it when people are dissapointed by devices without 4.3 which was just released.

i think it could be because sony is not known to bring out OS updates in a timely manner. so if this does have 4.2.2 you may need to wait for the xda community to bring 4.3 to it before you see sony bring 4.3 to it months later. but i suspect you will not want to go to 4.3 without it being a sony rom because you will be losing the sony ui camera interface. just like how it is on gs4 if you go with an aosp rom you dont get all the goodies in the camera interface that you do from touchwiz.

Any phones with sealed design/form factor are disposable... for me.
Whatever it is, how powerful it is, how good looking it is, still disposable! !!!
