The Japanese government will front a Sony, Hitachi and Toshiba mobile display joint-venture to the tune of $2.6 billion via its special fund. The project, which is expected to be complete in 2012, will create the world's largest mobile display maker...

it need thre big japanese electrnic compnies to battle one korean company, samsung is really the company to beat nowadays. but in fairness, korean government help samsung and other chaebols to grow while japanese companies have to rely on their own so that means funds are limited.

ya it was a rumor by fanboys like you....why would sony buy any led panels from samsung while sony first released LED televisions in 2004?

hm...while samsung making people fool by overcontrast,over saturated pictures....you cant beat the quality of sony....you cant simply beat the japan...

Definitely not a fan boy, but tahnik is right. sony released the first ever oled screen in 2008, and their products seem to be more superior to that of samsung considering that they do no get outside support. Lets get ready to see magical displays from this trio
