Sony Ericsson's Xperia X1 on receiving end of new firmware upgrade
The BlackBerry Storm isn't the only smartphone on the receiving end of a firmware update lately. According to CoolSmartPhone, Sony Ericsson's lone Windows Mobile device, the Xperia X1, is also on the receiving end of a new OS that greatly improves the model. The R3A update allows for a brighter keyboard with improvements in backlighting, a quicker and more responsive media panel and touchscreen, better texting, and a way for the handset to grab onto a stronger signal.

Unlike most Windows Mobile phones, to find the Xperia's update, you will need to use the "Update Service" software to find the upgrade and that can be found by clicking on the source link. Once you've  installed it on your device, do let us know what changes you have noticed on your phone.
