Sony Ericsson's official blog says that the X10 will be upgradeable although it will be launched as a unitouch device and may stay that way...

SE, pay attention: I will NOT consider you're product a high-end Android device until it's running the latest and greatest software version or at least DAMN close to it. 2.0.1 is acceptable but what isn't acceptable is 1.6. Good luck as you continue to dig yourself a deeper grave.
