Despite stirring up the cellular community with new Xperia models, the joint venture is closing locations worldwide and is laying off 2,000 workers...

They're going to need to sell the X10 through a carrier and subsidize it if they expect it to sell in the U.S....

well, i think they will be laying off more people if they think X10 will save them, especially with that price. :-S
